Lester Bangs: "Jim Morrison that drunken poet!" ;D
Though that being said, yeah I like them. Underrated jazz band to boot.
And strangely enough, I'm listening to Jane's Addictions cover of "L.A. Woman" at the moment.

I've always found Manzarek and his contribution to be more important to the band as a whole then Morrison and his, at least musically.
Not knocking Morrison but when I listen to this band it's for the bad ass organ.

As popular as Morrison was, all the hits they had Light my Fire, Touch Me, Love me Two Times and a few others were all Krieger tunes. Great band, love them to death. I have tons and tons of Morrison books, Tshirts and posters. A new book is coming out detailing Morrison's death. It's gonna be written by the guy who owned the club where Morrison allegedly OD on heroin on the toliet.

It was awesome seeing the Doors exhibit at the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Then I seen something at the hall to do with Gwen Stefani. Then I puked.
