Man Captain Marvel is pretty much the most overused hero name ever. Awesome characters from the most part, but wow.

In fairness, which of us can say that at ten years old we didn't have the idea for the 'coolest character ever' that was pretty much an amalgam out of about six other characters?

Wasn't Shooter like fourteen when he did stuff for DC? Granted he had a ton of flops once he left Marvel, but thats still impressive.
Anyhow, back to wacky covers.

INFERNO was one of my favorite Marvel crossovers.....I mean, New York City essentially having the door to Hell opened over it.....people turning into demons....inanimate objects attacking and killing people......I've always thought that was such a cool idea......probably the best Horror/Marvel idea up until the Marvel Zombies.

Speaking of the "what if conan walked the earth today" comic, ever read the sequel to that one from the second run of what if? where conan became essentially a scarface knockoff?
