I was a child of the late 70s/early 80s. As such, the various threads on the toys back then are pure nostalgia. But everyone always talks about Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man and Thundercats. Even COPS and MASK get occasional mentions. Do you remember these lines? Sectaurs Power Lords Starriors

I had a few of those guys... and that giant flying bee/fly/insect thing. I had this guy, the blonde guy, and the guy with the helmet. Madison, you sir, rule.

As the Playboy Playmate said to Rob Schneider on Family Guy:
"I was born in 1987."

I totally remember Sectaurs, not Starriors though. I mentioned Army Ants last night. I forgot about COPS.

I had a Power Lord...
MUSCLE, Army Ants... yeah. Super Powers... who else was there?
Go Bots, Rambo, RoboCop... I could have sworn I had a Chuck Norris figure too. From what, I don't know.

Those were the best of all-time, as they were a series of cliffhangers. I know a few are on Youtube. Also, I still have the Sectaurs playset, the incredibly huge Hive. Sadly, the spider puppet got wet in a recent flood that nailed the basement it was stored in.

Loved the Power Lords, too. Except every single one of them I had broke rather quickly.
Any love for Blackstar? That cartoon is like the prototype He-Man, as it was made right before Filmation started work on He-Man. You can pick up the complet series for under $15.00. Recommended for He-Man fans.

Madison, between your knowledge of action figure lines and Blade's video's of track star booty, I think tonight is one of the best night's I've had in a while.
Thanks.

Micronauts rule a lot. I wasn't around for them, but when they re-launched them for a bit I bought a couple. Neat lil things.
I kind of recall a line called Robocop and the Ultra Police, featuring um, Robocop...and, whoever the Ultra Police were, and some random villains. I had 'Cop and a motorcycle for him that was kinda neat, seems like I may have had some other vehicle but I can't quite remember it. The Robocop I had also had the cap-gun style figure gimmick that some of the C.O.P.S. line had.
The Real Ghostbusters also had niiiice toys.

Does anyone remember the gimmick behind THIS figure line? And if you do, did it actually work?

And since the 70s had just ended, I also had a lot of: and Dude, are those your Shogun Warriors? I forgot the names of the dude all the way on the right, but he kicked 100 times more ass with all his spring-loaded weapons then any of the others. I did like the look of the red one, Dragoon, I believe he's called. I feel sorry for any kid who didn't have daily Royal Rumbles with giant Mattel Shoguns, Godzillas, and Rodans.

I was seriously just about to say that this could go down in history as the greatest night in the (few months that I've been here) history of the off topic forum. Although I am disapointed in the no selling of my horsetrolla comment.
