Basically, I'm beginning to think this is the cutoff point between Cold Generation Y (If you were born after 1980 and remember the Soviet Union being around), and the kids born in the late eighties/ early 90s. I mean, first I thought it was Mean Girls, because that was the film every freshmen when I was in Grad School loved, but now that I've seen it, it's funny, I get it. But High School Musical, I just don't get. I got High School stuff in college, I guess I don't get it now. Any thoughts?

It's a catchy movie.
The songs are catchy, it has attractive people and the story is so shallow and useless it's not horrible.

No... and Don't try to distance yourself from your generation and cut others out. I was born in the late 80's and I hated it. Just come to terms that your Generation is from 81 ish untill 99-01. If not, then you do not fall under our 2nd Greatest Generation and can go back with those Gen X ers lol

No, it means you are intelligent.
I refuse to bow down to Disney, who, in my opinion, are responsible for the moral collapse of the US.
Look at Cinderella, for example. If you strip away all the bells, whistles, and the bippity-boppity-bullcrap, you get this:
A woman disobeys her mother, goes to a party, meets a guy, and the next day, they're married.
WHAT KIND OF EXAMPLE DOES THAT SET FOR OUR CHILDREN?

I did a blog recording my thoughts as I watched this. They weren't very positive.
My main gripe, apart from the story, acting and songs, is that I thought the duo we were supposed to dislike were more talented than the pair we were supposed to like.
