Know what I've always wondered. Why there are no teams that have two good QBs that treat them almost like pitchers are in baseball. So with us. Okay... Jake doesn't have it this game, let's let Carr play. Carr isn't doing good the next game, Jake relieves him. I mean, when you have someone like Peyton... that's understandable. But say all these teams that have two only decent-good QBs, why not? Cap suicide. That's exactly the reason right there. With 2 MAJOR QB all stars the rest of the team would dwindle due to salary cap.

Obviously, I'd love Jake to prove the critics wrong by having a huge year. It would also be nice to get off to a good start... Maybe four to six wins right from the jump. That would take us all the way to the bye week. But say all these teams that have two only decent-good QBs, why not? also, try to find 2 qb's who play similar enough that it won't terribly effect your game plan. It's very difficult if not impossible. For example, McNabb and Garcia are two talented QBs, but are very different players. If you switch every couple weeks, it would be terrible for the offense.

I don't know. Some of these teams that suck anyways... could it really hurt them? It was just a thought is all. I know to be able to do that and not have it effect everything but so much would take a lot of extra practice. And Cornfed and guys, I'm not really talking about the guys that would hit the Cap to hard. Guys like Peyton, Brees... yeah you have them always play. Even through the hard times. But like with us. We have Delhomme and Carr, and both are perfectly capable of starting. Or the Raiders with their Culpepper and whoever else siuation.

The only thing that scares me about the Panthers opener against the Rams is the Panthers very weak safties. Holt and Bruce, etc can easily eat them up. Its gonna be up to the offense to outscore them and the pass rush to contain what they can.
Im not worried about Jackson, the Panthers can stuff the run. Its the recievers I worry about.

Playing cap efficiency when finding starting QB or QBs is generally not the way to go.
Trust me it don't work. Years of Boller, Redman, Wright, Jeff Blake, taught me this.
Better to break the bank get one good starter, hope to god your backups pan out.
Cause even a "good" QB demands price great enough you can't keep em like that.
And those QBs all going to want playing time. Remember when Miami tried run things with Jay Fiedler and Ray Lucas playing dual roles? It just don't work out in cap or on field.

I got so sad when Minter retired. Not only was he a good player and a good leader, but he seemed to be one of the geniunly good people in the NFL to.

How ironic that one of last year's best QBs ended up with the worst yards per completion stat in the history of the NFL. However, it remains to be seen if the Saints offense was awful, or the Colts D was fantastic.

Thomas Davis. A former DB, with DB speed, and a linebacker body, playing outside linebacker. Lets see how Jackson handles him.

It's purely the corners and safties. And then that causing extra pressure on the D-Line and LBs to cover more of the field. That's what I worry about.

GO STEELERS!
I am from Scotland where NFL isn't that big of a deal. Though I am really going to get into it this year.
I have ordered Steelers DVD's etc and I'm gonna try and watch as many games as I can. ;D

Let me get my feelings straight on Weinke first. I've been picking on him my last couple posts, but it's all in good fun.
I don't hate him. If you are on my teams you have my loyalty. The only thing players can do to get me to not like them is not endeare themselves to the team (Dan Kolb, Atlanta Braves) or just be bad people (Rae Carruth, Carolina Panthers).
Wink wasn't good, and it was time for him to go. But he was a Panther through and through, and that kind of stuff means a lot to me. I will miss him in those terms, not actual being on the field terms though.

You pick what team to support by first looking at the helmet? Is there a Black Cat on it? If not... keep looking... if so stop for a second. Now ask yourself, "Is this the Carolina Panthers?" if so then you found the right team.

I was originally going to pick the team who's kit(uniform) i liked the best, but that sounds like something a woman would do
