Sounds great to me. Could be worse, I heard Billy Idol do "Jump". I love Billy but he just doesn't have the voice. Edit: Besides they loved this cover. They have no grounds to complain: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP6wcV6dZvo

Limp Bizkit covering Sanitarium was much worse IMO.

Actually, that is pretty good. And I say that as a Nickelback and Metallica fan. I concur. It's a decent cover. I'd like to see them release it as a single, actually.

I thought Avril did a good job of the cover. The band proved they don't just play power chords.

i had blocked that from my memory, NOW ITS BACK TO HAUNT ME. Just putting it in perspective. In comparison, Nickleback isn't that bad.

I'd give the nod to Avril's cover being much more painful. Even if Nickleback is nothing more than psuedo-pop-craprock band covering a Metallica song, at least it wasn't pop-punkcrap band covering a Metallica song. If you can give Avril anything, it was nice of her to not disgrace a pre-Black album Metallica song...

At first I was like "Nickelback, no." and went to close the page, but then I was like "Covering Metallica? Hell no.", and then I was all "Hey...this aint so bad."
And then I left...
