You know what I'm talking about. Sometimes you'll go out of state and hit a McDonalds and be completely shocked at what they have on the menu.
My favorite story is going to a McDonalds in the Bronx and seeing fried chicken on the menu. I tried ordering a #7 which was a Chicken Sandwich at the time and they tried giving me a 7 piece order of their fried chicken. What a pain in the ass.
Then the McDonalds at the LaGuardia Airport actually had 3 different soups you could order. Minestrone was one of them but I can't remember the other two.
The only other kind of weird/fun thing I encountered was at a McDonalds in possibly South Carolina a few years back. They were offering a "Bucket O Fries." Basically a Bucket O Fries was a Super Sized Drink cup filled to the top with fries. I was so tempted to try it but then thought about exactly how much that really was.
So yeah, go ahead and post your favorites.

They have a lobster roll up here sometimes, not sure if that's regional though.

I'm still laughing at the Bucket O Fries. Well I've never had anything at a McDonald's out of state, but I've heard stories about Texas having chicken fried steaks on the menu.

Bucket O Fries wasnt a regional thing as much as something they tried in most stores but didnt really catch on so many of them just took it away within the first few months they had it. (Bucket O Fries was a dream come true for me because the only thing i like from McDonald's are the fries)

Never have I seen the McRib in Michigan. Seen the McRib in Ohio. Seen the McRib in Pennsylvania. NEVER IN MICHIGAN. Those things are fantastic too, so it saddens me that I never come across them.

The McRib, the bucket o fries was here like, 10 years ago, and never again.
The Gallon of soda was here back then too.
I've seen pizza sold in Washington D.C, and that's about it.

I'm not sure if its just something we get here or if its at McDonalds everywhere, but the chicken caeser rolls are one of the best things on the menu.
When i went to McDonalds in France you could choose to get wedges instead of fries. I thought that was pretty cool. Didn't try them though.

The Big Extra, which I read is the old Arch Deluxe. I guess it's not regional, but I believe only available in Canada.

If we do, it isn't near me. I really wish we'd get Fried Chicken or the Bucket O' Fries, though. Or Mozarella sticks, I love those.
