So, I managed to catch some episodes of the new season of Robot Chicken recently, and something came up to me that I really didn't want to think.
It's not funny anymore.
I was a big fan come Season One, and Season Two had some great stuff, but Season Three? I dunno, most of the time, it feels really awkward to watch. Like most of the sketches just end in death other rather depressing things.
That Star Wars Special just showed they can do loads of great stuff without relying on death or sex or whatever, but it's just...weird to watch now.
But hey, there's a reason it's still on TV and a reason it won an Emmy. So, Crappers, do you agree or disagree with me?
(Probably disagree, but what the hey ;D)

Not as good as Toyfair's "Twisted Mego" theatre, which some of the guys involved in "Robot Chicken" worked on. I watched the first season and liked alot of it but I haven't watched much of the new season.

Sure its hit & miss, but the hits are absolutely worth it. From Christian Slater's "Skater McGee" to the Michael Moore/80's cartoons documentary to the TWIX remake of SCARFACE to all those good STAR WARS parody clips. In a way, take that great sketch where Seth McFarlane is the emperor & on the phone with Vader. That scene is FAMILY GUY, but without throwing out pop culture references as its humor target. The joke is the Emperor being like a Hollywood mogul stereotype, and trashing out his subordinate like a little girl in front of the Emperor's chronies. "You must smell like....burnt bacon! Oh..."

The thing is, I really don't see alot of that creativity in this season. Sure, Law and Order KFC was great, so was that sketch with the superhero that smashed tables and a few others I can think of I enjoyed, but most of the sketches I saw just don't seem to make me laugh the same way. Hell, sometimes, as I say, I feel really awkward watching them. I know they can do better because they have done better, it's just I don't see it as much now. Sorry if I sound too into it, it's just I really want this show to be good. Hell, I marked out for it in front of several of my mates for months.

He's got a career outside of RC, its simply his professional baby project. Besides, just think this....this might be its last season. Not because of ratings or fanboy whining, but because Seth and his other people deeply involved with RC are incredibly becoming more busy themselves.

Seriously, if that's the case, fair enough. The guy's got talent, no doubt about it. And if it the last season, I would like to see what he does next. Cause he and Matt have got that two year film deal with Dimension, haven't they? Defiantly want to see what they do for those
