I thought they did the Silver Surfer justice, but even he couldn't save the damn thing.

Micheal Chicklis & Chris Evans were the best things about F4 movies. The Thing and the Human Torch are the best things about the Fantastic Four. I for one thought both films were great fun and had a comic book style to them that I found fun.

And the She is Mexican and Sue is not argument in 3...2... Or, how about the REAL problem? Like Alba can't act. Plus, she's a true daffy duck. I've written before and before about her nonsense that caused ROTSS $20+ million in budget skyrocketing, and hurt that movie's profit margins. Whats sad is, the lame-ass first movie? Thats what the first X-MEN movie would have been, or at least should have been without guys like Singer and his people. Similar insanely-rushed shoots, FOX penny-pinching, etc.

i didnt think michael clarke duncan as kingpin was a big deal, because he still pretty much got the character right. alba never came close to getting sue storm.

Still, I say the only two ways for good F4 adaptations is if either Marvel steps in and helps the next movie, like with Iron Man and Hulk, or if Bruce Timm did an animated series of it.
Timm works magic, people! He made STATIC an interesting character with his DC Animated Universe!

See, I didn't really care that Kingpin was black in Daredevil, because honestly....many comic book characters change race so many times that I frankly don't care.

Micheal Chicklis & Chris Evans were the best things about F4 movies. Michael, no doubt, but Chris just made me wanna punch him right in the face. (Which I presume'd hurt me a lot more, cuz of the whole flame shit ;D)

More annoying than that was in the first one, with their freaking out nonstop. Okay, Johnny's an adult. If he wants to be on TV, stop whining so damn much.

i actually really liked the first one for some reason, I refuse to see part 2 since my favorite character is a damn cloud Kinda, my interpretation was that they wanted to play Galactus as an entity, without having to rely on obvious science.

I always thought it was truly a monumentally nonsensical comment on Fox's part concerning Galactus: "A giant cosmic entity in a huge purple helmet? That would be plain silly."
Ummm....hello.
The entire concept of the Fantastic Four is inherently silly. An invisible woman, an elastic man, a rocky-skinned guy, and a man on fire.
Galactus is no more or less "silly" than any of that.
And to boot, what they turned him into is even SILLIER than his original form.

Duncan actually was good casting for Kingpin. DAREDEVIL the movie still sucked, but not Duncan's fault. Alba is always Alba in a movie. Always.

Funny thing I've realized. The Incredibles does a better job at telling the Fantastic Four story than the actual Fantastic Four movies.

You know what I’ve learned from “Children of Men” is that within 10-15 minutes an origin of entire story can be told with great writing and direction. 15 minutes and we could’ve learned the entire origin of both victor von doom and reed Richards and who and what they are. Learned on their rivalry and such.
I always figured that Latveria was a mixture of France, Greece and Spain. Thus why I would’ve cast Javier Bardem as Dr.Doom.
The thing with Alba and Chris Evans is that I don’t buy her being his older sister, they had no chemistry what so ever. They seemed to want to f*** each other then look out for one another. Alba was more interested in Johnny than reed. Elizabeth Banks or Rachel McAdams I could believe.
Chiklis was awesome.

The biggest one is Jessica Alba playing a scientist. Nothing against Jessica, but come on, who are we kidding here? Are you saying hot chicks cant be scientists? The thing with Alba and Chris Evans is that I don’t buy her being his older sister, they had no chemistry what so ever. They seemed to want to smurf each other then look out for one another. Chiklis was awesome. I saw alot of the filming of Fantastic Four because the wedding was by my Apartment building/work. I saw alot of the behind the scenes stuff. And I can tell you right now, in between shots, Ms. Alba and The Human Torch spent time hugging each other in a more than friendly manner. As for the movie, FF2 was OK. It could have been better, but it could have been worse. I thought it was better than the first movie. I dont think Alba was the problem. I would blame the crappy writing, Silver Surfers character, and the US military's personal before I blame Alba.

But that's the thing....Alba had control over the writing and demanded several rewrites until we got the crap script that made the final cut, so Alba IS the cause of the crappy writing.
