I was loitering near the area of my company where the computing magazine is produced, and I overheard them discussing the idea of going to a Halloween party dressed as... browsers. One guy as an explorer, another as someone on safari, another as an opera singer.
My three questions are:
1 - How would someone go as a firefox?
2 - Is this the nerdiest thing ever?
3 - What other browsers are there?

You've obviously never been subjected to seeing OS girls.

Opera is an internet suite used for it's browser, I despise it but it's popular with some people.
The safari is in reference to FireFox.

There's a sect of nerds out there who enjoy turning computer programs into the form of something living. An example of this is Os Girls en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS-tanEach OS is represented by its qualities into physical form. The link there has explanation for all of it. I'm sure the nerds wanting to dress as Browsers were inspired by this train of thought.

Safari is a decent browser. My old High School used to use it.
Anyway, Nerdy, but it's a clever idea.

Thanks for clearing things up, guys. And for the FireFox thing, I think one could dress up as a fox... then lit themselves on fire...

I assume that the ME Os girl has a bunch of irritating and handicapping personal problems, that make her unable to operate under even slightly trying circumstances.

I personally like Safari a lot, mainly cos of my .mac account making it simple to sync bookmarks, passwords etc. However, not all sites share my love, hence me keeping IE and FireFox in reserve (for example, I had to use IE to book a flight recently).
