When I was 4 my parents put a poster of Rambo on my ceiling. So I'd go to bed with a dirt/blood covered Stallone looking down from the ceiling pointing an M60 down at me.
I had to get my Dad to take it down....I may have cried.

I was afraid of this one muppet that randomly ate the other muppets (seriously). Can't remember his name though, but he was huge and blue.

Any character from the Dark Crystal. Even the Gelflings were creepy as sin.

For me, the only one I can remember being really scared of was Christopher Lloyd in cartoon form at the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. That was scary, scary stuff.

The air conditioner from Brave Little Toaster. >_> The air conditioner had nothing on the Giant Magnet at the car crusher. If Bambi's mother was murder, that scene was genocide.

Oh I remember another. Not really a character but the scene with the giant furnace in The Burbs scared me when I was a kid.
