They started off traveling in opposite directions. Each one drove 6 miles, putting them 12 miles apart, then turned to their own left. The two cars are now indeed on parallel courses, but still traveling in opposite directions and with 12 miles separating their two courses - the roads they're traveling on are 12 miles apart. After each car drives 8 miles on their new headings, the cars are exactly 20 miles apart. Or you could just use the Pythagorean therom . ... lol Which I did in my previous post in order to get the answer of 20 miles.

John likes 400 but not 300; he likes 100 but not 99; he likes 3600 but not 3700. Which does he like? 900 1000 1100 1200
I chewed this one over and just couldn't see the pattern so I guessed. Anyone know?
I think John's too damn picky, I mean damn man they're just numbers why the irrational favouritism?!

The European Space Agency received three messages in a strange language from a distant planet. The scientists studied the messages and found that "Necor Buldon Slock" means "Danger Rocket Explosion" and "Edwan Mynor Necor" means "Danger Spaceship Fire" and "Buldon Gimilzor Gondor" means "Bad Gas Explosion". What does "Slock" mean? Danger Explosion Nothing Rocket Gas
From this I got that these aliens have two words that mean the same thing. So obviously they mean to get us all in a state of confusion so we'll be off guard when they invade! Oh my god They're going to take over!! Save yourselves!! Run to the hills!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH *jumps out window*

Why would it be rocket?

I see, well these aliens use silly words in jumbled order so they can't be that hard to destroy. I think the world is safe huzzah! They also appear to explode due to bad gas. HA HA!

I might just be severely confused though, happens all the time. ;D

Assume that these two statements are true: All brown-haired men have bad tempers. Larry is a brown-haired man. The statement Larry has a bad temper is: True False Unable to determine
At first glance, this one appears to be blatantly obvious. But then I thought, hey maybe its one of those cleverdick 'think outside the box' type of deals and instead of being True its actually Unable to determine because you're never supposed to 'Assume' and the assumption they are asking you to make is obviously totally absurd.

lol IQ tests. They mean absolutely nothing. I picked answers randomly and this is what I got.
"Congratulations, Ass! Your IQ score is 99 This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.
Your Intellectual Type is Inventive Inquisitor. You have the unusual distinction of being equally good at math and verbal skills. This means you are a creative thinker and are uniquely good at teaching others through experiences. You are also a great improviser and very good at handling change."

I went for the obvious and said 'nothing'. Why would it be rocket? Because if I recall correctly, I had already assigned meanings to the two other words in the sentence, leaving only "slock" to match up with "rocket."

Congratulations, Mike! Your IQ score is 136
This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.
Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns.
I'll take it.
