So I've recently decided to get more into NES cartridge collecting.
Yes, I know ROMS are free, but...it's just not the same.
I've had an NES since at least 2003 but haven't really done much with it but bought a few stray games here and there, I bought a bunch of games after the San Antonio trip on Sunday, so as of right now the collection is:
Mario/Duck Hunt
Mario 2
Metal Gear
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
Monster Party
NARC
Spy Hunter
Ikari Warriors
Where's Waldo (WORST GAME EVER, but my ex from a long long time ago insisted we get it)
Kirby's Adventure
WWF Wrestlemania Steel Cage Challenge (I didn't mean to buy the terrible one, whoops, but at least I can listen to the Martian Symphony Orchestra's moving rendition of "Real American" whenever I want)
Tag Team Wrestling
Pro Wrestling
Operation Wolf
Batman
And I feel like I'm forgetting some others.
Things to consider:
I have TERRIBLE taste in games, i.e. I love cheesy bad horribly translated things or just plain WEIRD things (lookin at you, Monster Party), I'm not a huge Zelda or Mario fan really, and I don't think I've ever played Metroid, but if I could FIND it at our store, I might give it a go. I love superhero games and I love an actual DECENT game based on a movie (I almost got Ghostbusters II but figured it sucked), I also love racing games but uhm...this is NES. A good beat em up seems in order too.
Also, I'm going to buy an FC Twin system to replace our old wiggly slot of doom NES because it's annoying to have to clean the cartridges and wiggle them around till they connect, Controller Port 2 is broken (nothing but the B button responds), and we own two zappers and neither of them work. And we JUST bought one. I don't think the FC Twin will support the zapper but oh well, maybe it comes with one, and if not, hey, it's a functional compact NES for 30 bucks. The only thing that sucks is it wont support Castlevania III
Anywho.
Suggest. Please?
