Ramos is mad to leave Sevilla for Spurs.
Other than for the money of course.
Leaving the team he won and retained the UEFA Cup with, who were contenders for La Liga last season until the last day, and are going well in the Champions League for a team who will always be wannabes is crazy.

I'm totally PO'ed with football right now. We have a cracking team yet can't get results. DRAW at Barnsley. DRAW at home with Blackpool. LOSS at Cardiff. DRAW at Bristol. 2-0 up after 4 minutes to Norwich at home, should've thrashed them. Instead, we almost throw it away and scrape a 2-1 victory. LOSS 3-2 yesterday on TV at home to Southampton, conceding 2 in 10 minutes, almost 4 in 10.
Our team isn't the problem. We have quality players and some very solid goalscorers. The supposed 'donkey' Ade Akinbiyi has the highest goals/mins on pitch ratio out of any striker in our league. Andy Gray has 7 in 11 league games, 9 in 13 including cup games.
The problem is our manager. He drops a guy who was an ever present last season in James O'Connor. He sticks with Steven Jordan, a left-back who has been so overrated and underachieving since he came to us. He plays an unfit Steven Caldwell, then subs him off after 9 minutes. He plays an international striker in Lafferty on the wing. Iceland international midfielder Joey Gudjonsson can't even get on our bench, and Irish international winger Steve Jones might get on the bench once every 4 if some other players are unfit. Scottish right-back Graham Alexander, quality for Preston and Scotland, has been decidely average for us. I wonder why? Certainly not to do with the caliber of his fellow defenders, they are all top notch.
150 games managed by Cotterill, and I'd wager less than 40 games won. His excuse for our shocking loss yesterday was "We're playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday". So is every other bloody team in the league. Despite our bad form, the Championship is so tight we could have gone 2nd if we'd won yesterday. As it is, we're slipping down the table, our form is pretty shocking despite our potentially decent position, and we look as though we may end up struggling to survive again. Sack Cotterill, please.
To make matters worse, 2 more of our international players are out the whole season, one of which is out for possibly into next season or may even never play again.
To make matters even worse, Preston won.

2-0 up after 4 minutes to Norwich at home, should've thrashed them. Instead, we almost throw it away and scrape a 2-1 victory. You're actually moaning about getting 3 points! We haven't won in 7 games! Never actually realised how many quality players Burnley had though. Most of them could do a job in the Premiership. Except Ade of course, and the Bradford rejects you have.

Nice point for us today, and from the looks of things, we had most of the game. Our lesson is not to make a slow start against United like we did today.

Not a bad result. Disappointing that Alonso is hurt again. Six points off the lead.

We haven't won in 7 games! Never actually realised how many quality players Burnley had though. Most of them could do a job in the Premiership. Except Ade of course, and the Bradford rejects you have. I know it seems odd, but I'm not so much complaining about the win as the fact that we very nearly threw it away. 3 points is 3 points though. It surprises me as well at the number of international or ex-international players we have though: Current/Recent International: Graham Alexander, Gabor Kiraly, Besart Berisha, Michael Duff, Kyle Lafferty, Steve Jones, Joey Gudjonsson Past International: Ade Akinbiyi, Alan Mahon (I think), Andy Gray, Steven Caldwell, David Unsworth (Unsworth and Gray have only got 1 cap each though, and Caldwell's had 4) Ade is not a bad player, or at least not anymore. Best goals per mins on pitch strike ratio out of every player in our league. Scored 4 in 10 sub appearances and 1 start, with an average of about 15 minutes on the pitch per appearance, and 70 for his start. 220 minutes, 4 goals. 220 mins is roughly 2 1/2 matches, so it's a cracking strike rate. And I'll agree that we have some Bradford rejects, but I wouldn't class Robbie Blake as one. He's a very talented player most of the time. Unfortunately Saturday was a real off day for him.

Norwich have appointed the pigeon himself, Glenn Roeder. Wonderful stuff!

I think Glenn Roeder has more of a Roland Rat look myself.

How dare you! Insulting the main man Glenn Roeder - 100% legend. I wish him every success at Norwich - hopefully we can see them in the Premier League next season But yes he does look like a mouse admittedly.

I gotta say I think Roeder's record is pretty awful. Getting that West Ham team, with the players they still had at that point, relegated was some achievement. Nice guy and all, but I do fear for Norwich this season. Which is a shame- I used to love Norwich when they were in the Premier. Fox, Eadie, Jeremy Goss scoring that screamer away to Bayern Munich...good times.

Good luck to Juandre Ramos, cos bah gawd he is gonna need it. Saturday against United will mark the home debut of the new version of "Who's That Team They Call The Arsenal?", with the appropriate new lyric.

There is growing speculation that Bob Kraft (Patriots) owner is looking to buy a team.....more than likely in the London area.

He can go buy Tottenham for all I care, just as long as he's nowhere near Arsenal.

The mighty Leyton Orient could do with some investment...I personally invite Mr Kraft to make a bid.
