I don't usually like getting into relationship stuff on here, but I'm at work and I desperately need to vent.
My girlfriend of over 2 years told me she doesn't love me anymore yesterday. She was waiting for me when I got home from work. She had spent her entire day off moving her stuff out of the apartment. I didn't even have a clue it was coming. I tried my best to man up last night, but it didn't really sink in until I went to bed.
I miss my girlfriend, my dog, and the apartment I had when I left home yesterday morning.

She took your dog? Thats smurfed up. It was up to me. She's moving back in with her parents, and I figure he'd be better off over there with a yard to play in and 3 people giving him attention then being locked in his crate 10 hours a day with me.

The dog is the only winner in this. I'm sorry bro. You tried to MAN UP! and thats all you could do. Its time to heal and move on at this point.

Yeah, and we had just re-upped our lease for another 11 months. She said she'd pay $200 a month, but that still leaves an extra $100 for my share per month.

You're both being mature about this, and for that I respect you.
Hope you get into a better situation soon.

I've got to admire the way you're handling this. I second the maturity comments.
I definitely feel your pain, by the way. Unexpected breakups are never fun. If you feel the need to talk to a total stranger, I check my PMs constantly.

Get a buddy in and you've got yourself a bachelor pad

Thanks for the support, fellas.
The plan for now is to get my financials all squared away, and then give this thing a couple of days. My head's too messed up to be able to think clearly about whether I want to try to work through this as a couple, or if I'm better off this way.

If I was you (and I'm not) I would take her out for one more date and then dump her. Just to get a point across that you don't need her and your over her and walk out with my head held high.

Get a buddy in and you've got yourself a bachelor pad Before this incident, the living situation was me and my girlfriend in one room, and my buddy in another room of a 2 bedroom apartment. So with her leaving, that leaves me and the buddy. So unless I can find someone who doesn't mind sleeping on a couch, we're gonna be splitting it 2 ways instead of 3. Which sucks.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. You're handling it really well though.
Whatever you do, don't do anything that will leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth, especially your own. Take some time to figure out what's right for you and, to use a cliche that works, follow your heart.
All the best.

This situation sucks, no two ways about it. Very sorry to hear about it though! Girls suck. Seriously, I don't know why we do dumb stuff like this. It just doesn't make sense.
You need to give it a few days time though to clear your head and remove yourself from the situation to think about it and see if you might want to get her back.
All apologies though my friend.

We're supposed to meet up tonight. There's still some of her stuff around, and we need to figure out concrete details about rent and stuff. So....should be fun.
