Moonlighting moves on Dylan released the Oh Mercy record. Oh Mercy's unique production was unlike anything ever released on a Dylan record, and it drew praise from a majority of critics. Robert Christgau of The Village Voice wrote, "Daniel Lanois's understated care and easy beat suit [Dylan's] casual ways, and three or four songs might sound like something late at night on the radio, or after the great flood. All are modest and tuneful enough to make you forgive 'Disease of Conceit,' which is neither." Growing Pains The show's premise is based around the fictional Seaver family who reside on Long Island, New York. Dr. Jason Seaver (Alan Thicke), a psychiatrist, works from home because his wife, Maggie Malone Seaver (Joanna Kerns), has gone back to work as a reporter. Jason has to take care of his kids: troublemaker Mike (Kirk Cameron), honors student Carol (Tracey Gold), and rambunctious Ben (Jeremy Miller). From 1988 on, Chrissy Seaver became a part of the family. She was played in her infant stage by twins Kristen and Kelsey Dohring (who alternated). Beginning in the fall of 1990, Chrissy's character age was advanced to 6 years old, whereupon Ashley Johnson took over the role. Later, Luke Brower (Leonardo DiCaprio) also moved in with the family. The show was relevant in the mid-1980s as women going to work was becoming more and more common, as were stay at home dads.

Growing Pains got it first The A-Team The A-Team is an American action adventure television series about a fictional group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a "crime they didn't commit The Minors Strike The miners' strike of 1984 – 1985 was a major industrial action affecting the British coal industry. It was a defining moment in British industrial relations, and significantly weakened the British trades union movement. The strike became a symbolic struggle, since the miners' union was one of the strongest in the country. The strike ended with the defeat of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) by the Conservative government, which then proceeded to consolidate its free market programme. The political power of the NUM was broken permanently, and some years later the Labour Party moved away from its traditional socialist agenda. The dispute exposed deep divisions in British society and caused considerable bitterness, especially in Northern England and in South Wales where several mining communities were destroyed. Ten deaths resulted from events around the strike, which is exceptional in the history of British industrial relations.

UHF UHF (also known as The Vidiot from UHF in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe, and Los Telelocos in Mexico) is a comedy film made in 1989. It starred "Weird Al" Yankovic, Michael Richards, David Bowe, Victoria Jackson, Fran Drescher, Kevin McCarthy, Gedde Watanabe, Billy Barty, Anthony Geary and Trinidad Silva. The film was directed by Jay Levey, Yankovic's manager, who also co-wrote the screenplay with him. It was produced by Orion Pictures Corporation. Leg warmers Leg Warmers are a type of clothing similar to a sock except that they are footless. Even so, leg warmers are considered socks. Leg warmers were traditionally made of pure wool, though nowadays they are typically made from a mixture of cotton and/or synthetic fibers. Despite the [misguided] belief leg warmers are used by dancers to keep the calf muscles and tendons of the ankle warm until they have been loosened from stretching, there has never been any scienific data to substantiate these claims. Leg warmers in fact do not serve any functional purpose.
