Well, in a way, it does affect what I watch. Reality tv landed about eight years ago with Big Brother and has only expanded with no hint of it ceasing. Film and television companies are thusly going to see that these kind of shows make money and bring in ratings and will make more of these shows to cater to that audience. Being in the minority, it sucks for me, although I've sort of given up on watching television. As for film, again, it does affect me. The teen comedies and slashers of the late 90s were hugely popular and as such, many, many copycats were produced. Even in the last little while there was Mr. Woodcock, Good Luck Chuck and The Heartbreak Kid. I'm lucky to find a movie I'll either a) watch or b) enjoy. I'm not about to pay money for a movie that is predictable, unfunny or a "horror" with too much CGI. Reality TV hit in the late 80s with Cops. And Cops is friggin awesome. I always leave that show feeling better about myself. Hell, Candid Camera was on before most of the people on here were even born.

Well, the major boom of reality television began with Big Brother about eight years ago. Before that, it was the sitcom.

There's probably gonna be some sort of anniversary special next year for the 60th anniversary of the show. It actually started on radio before that. Crazy.

The major boom in the States was Survivor. Thats when all the s**** hit the fan and I prettty much didn't watch TV. Much like now. The probably started airing around the same time.

I'd imagine so. I think the first Big Brother was '99? The UK and Ireland didn't get Survivor (to my knowledge, I don't watch too, too much television). The sitcom kind of died out after that. Even scripted shows now have an element of reality to it (eg. The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm)

Who are the audience still buying and viewing Jackass films?! This audience needs to...stop. Then the movies will stop. Stupid people don't deserve television programmes. OR and this is a big or, if you don't like, JUST DON'T WATCH! TADA, simple as that. It doesn't effect you and you don't waste your time with it. You'd think with some of you someone was holding a gun to your head and making you watch shows you don't like. That' s what I say to the people who say "Man, RAW / SD / ECW / WWE / A random WWE worker sucks !!" on a weekly basis and STILL watch the shows, but all I got was learning that being an anti-smark is bad ( not in such polite terms, of course ). Beside, it' s not like the title of the thread was "WOOT !! News Jackass movie !! It' ll be awesome !!" so I don' t see what' s wrong in saying that you don' t like this show.

So, UK folk can't see it.
Is it any good? What kind of stunts are in it?
I'll get it on DVD.
Ooh, I wouldn't mind a PM if someone knows someplace I can get it in the UK.

I'll probably watch it. It's usually good for at least a laugh or two.

I like Jackass because the guys are having a good time, and don't seem like douchebags. Bam does some pretty crappy stuff on his show, but all in all they seem like a generally cooler bunch than everyone else who seems to be fighting, bitching and crying throughout the rest of television

Maybe, but they could of probably told him the thing was devenomed. He would of been scared, anyway. Even with his dickish ways at times, I still felt bad for him.

Sadly as long as the writers' strike goes on they'll be churning out more and more crap like this by the barrel full.

The guy thought he was going to be poisoned and killed, probably. Most I can think of is just adding more cobras.
