It's a great trailer. But... I'm starting to get a bit worried that they're gonna shift all the attention on the Joker and away from Batman. I realise Chris Nolan is one of the best directors around and that Batman Begins was everything we hoped it would be. I love the first 2 Tim Burton Batman films, but as soon as they started shifting the main attention away from the titular character it was the first shot to knacker that franchise. It's probably worry for nothing because surely they wouldn't let that happen again? Some could argue that the Joker had more attention then Batman in the first movie. I would actually agree with that to a certain extent. Michael Keaton was a known actor but not exactly a major star. Enter Jack Nicholson who gets attention pretty much everywhere he goes. But the film has a lot more backstory to the Batman character. They used Nicholson to add some star power but I think the film just about gets the balance right. Then you watch Batman Forever and realise Batman is merely a spectator to the "Bad Guy show". Knowing Chris Nolan, he'll get the balance right, which is important because Joker is probably the character people associate with Batman more than any other (with the possible exception of Robin).

I like Joker's look but something thats bothering is me is that he always looks Wet.
Like someone grabbed out of a fully clothed bath session and told him to rob a bank.

I think it might be that his hair is supposed to look greasy. I mean I don't know that for a fact...but he doesn't seem like the sort of guy that washes and conditions his hair daily...so y'know, it probably has a tendency to get quite oily and gross.

Yes, it definatly was a lot worse in the last two, that's for sure.

I think Tim Burton was just far too afraid of demystifying Batman to really develop him. In his Director's Commentaries and the Special Features of Batman 89 and Returns, he always talked about "respecting Batman's privacy".
Shumacher was just making glorified toy commercials and adding nipples on the Batsuits. I don't think he really cared.
But I get the sense that Nolan cares about Batman the same way Sam Raimi cares about Spider-Man, in the sense that he really wants to explore the character as a real human being.

When I first heard that Heath Ledger was playing the Joker, I thought "the guy from 'Brokeback Mountain'?" But then I thought that I would just wait and see. After all, the only movies I've seen him in are "10 Things I Hate About You" and "The Patriot".
From what I have seen from a few still photos (don't want to look at too many--don't want TOO much spoiled for me) and seen/heard from both the teaser and the full trailer, I can somewhat see where Nolan is going with this, and I don't have any complaints.
As for the film itself, I cannot wait. I've been dying to see this ever since I heard the synthetic, slowed down flapping of wings and Bruce Wayne saying, "I knew the mob wouldn't go down without a fight..."

It's probably worry for nothing because surely they wouldn't let that happen again? From the interviews I've seen I don't know if Nolan is going to explore Joker at all. Burton gave Joker a backstory and most of the flick, Nolan says he sees Joker more as an absolute. He appears and you're left to wonder how the hell that thing happened. All focus on him will only serve to show how deadly he is. He's also said the backbone of the film is the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent. All focus is being given to the Joker because that's what many people just want to hear about. As for the trailer, I too, am sold. I was one of the skeptics when Ledger was casted. I wasn't "omg teh ghey cowboy!?" but I questioned whether he could do the role. After all Nolan DID cast Katie Holmes. But now I've learned to trust him more, this is an absolutely fantastic interpretation of the Joker. In fact, I like it better than the Killing Joke Joker. A dualism between absolute order and absolute chaos. Rather than exploring the similarities between the two, Nolan will explore their differences. Either way, at least we can be sure that this Joker will not dance to Prince. ... right?

Is it still hidden that there's no makeup or is he actually wearing it? I couldn't care either way, in fact I like the effect of the makeup rotting off.

You want the truth? I don't know. That's the problem with relying on one single pipeline. Sometimes you get gems, and sometimes you just get simply SHIT.
