I got some cool things, and a couple of REALLY cool things, but only one thing I asked for, the rest were pretty much clothes. I hate to sound ungreatful, but every year I'm asked for a list and it was obviously a waste of time

I got some cool things, and a couple of REALLY cool things, but only one thing I asked for, the rest were pretty much clothes. I hate to sound ungreatful, but every year I'm asked for a list and it was obviously a waste of time That's why my father and I dispelled the traditional rules of Christmas for each other and just flat out pointed out exactly what was desired. many moons ago. Not as magical as happening upon that one kick ass gift no one saw coming perhaps, but we're never disappointed. Clothes can be frustrating if either the buyer has absolutely no concept of your fashion sense or has a grasp of one facet of it and will continue to get you the same type of (shirt, hat, etc.) every year. I love to get socks myself. You can't really get someone wrong socks. Can you? Socks are something I almost never have to buy due to having so many practical relatives. Also, I have like twelve shavers. Will I ever need them? Probably not, but I have them.

You guys get cool stuff. I always get stupid crap like socks and coats (because I need 5 more this year after the 5 I've gotten each of the past years!). One day you'll appreciate stupid crap.

Gah! Curse you, Duke! Once again, your thread on the same subject outranked mine. Next time you won't be as lucky.
I got an XBox 360 and some games, as well as a new flannel shirt. It's cozy.
Also, money.

A ton of gift cards: two for Dunkin' Donuts (one from my boss), McDonald's, Panera, Stop & Shop, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Target, and one to be named later (as they were sold out), a snowman mug (from my boss), and a woefully underpowered massager (which is going to someone who can use it... presumably on her girl parts (hint hint wink wink nudge nudge)). That list's going to get bigger, but that's also not counting the blanket I got myself at Bath & Body Works while I was buying my mom's gift (bathrobe, slippers, massager). TASTE the excitement.

And my old guitar back. It finally works! I haven't played it yet but I just finished putting the strings on it.

My biological dad acknowledged my existence and said "See ya later" when I left. And I got to spend the whole day with my sisters and their mom.
I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas.
