Just to be different, instead of going through the best of 2007, I'm going to look into the future and see what I hope 2008 will give me and the entertainment industry.
1. Super Smash Bros Brawl will be awesome.
There are many games people are looking forward to next year in gaming. This is my major one.
Nintendo have been a giant tease about this game, giving us little bits of information (and some rather HUGE bits of info) all throughout the year and now all I want to do is play the damn thing.
2. The WGA Strikes end in some fashion
Of course, I believe that the writers should get what they deserve, but eventually, it will go wrong for both the writers and the producers and someone has got to get back on that negociation table.
From what I have heard from people, many are annoyed by the progress being made and, with shows ending quicker than expected, they might turn on the WGA's good intentions (especially with them trying to break that by making more demands)
And, to be slightly biased, I want them to work on Boston Legal Series 4, gosh darnit!
3. The Movie Summer kicks collective ass/Watch more movies
Ignoring Meet the Spartans, the films coming out in 2008 have a
'Can't fail' feeling to them. You have Iron Man and Hulk getting a run, Get Smart, Hancock, Hellboy II and several others I'm even thinking about.
That's not even considering the huge duct of Oscar Nominated films coming out here in January. 2008 is looking pretty sweet for film fans.
Which leads to part two...this year, I missed out on alot of films I wanted to see and this coming year, I hope to change that. And with alot of films coming out, I hope to change that.
4. I get into Manga/More Anime
This is another simple one. My two co hosts for Pointless Entertainment Radio have given me a long list of manga and Anime to watch. And, as nuts, I constantly hear about it (along with one being a Japan nut ) so I look forward to it.
Can't think of a 5th one for this, so I'll move on to my own personal hopes.
1. I stop taking things so seriously
As some of you saw in that 'Wrestling is fake' thread, I...sort of exploded on someone and I didn't mean to. Now, I'm usually really calm, but in that time, I wasn't. And, for me, this is something I have to work on. I have to stop being so sensitive towards things and let things lie even if other people don't want them to.
2. MAN UP! (TM Briscoes)
Not much needed for this. I like some girls, I haven't asked them out yet...Manning up is required.
3. Pointless Entertainment Radio
Some of you know about this already, but I have been working on a small podcasting project at my University and have everything all set up. All we need to do now is to do the first show. Once that happens, it'll be up here and it'll be awesome.
4. Sleep some more.
I've disrupted my sleep patterns so much at Uni, partially my own fault and partially living with very noisy drunk flatmates. So next year, I want to change all that.
5. Do the work I have to do to the best of my ability.
I'll be starting again on the 28th of January and I want to make sure I give time to those things as well as PER and everything else I want to do. Just making sure, for me, that I don't focus on one thing and stop focusing on others
So, yeah, shorter than I thought and if you have anything like this, then go for it.
