Well it's officially Wednesday so it's time once again for your favorite show. MSG CLASSICS! It returns to the MSG Network tonight at 8pm with 2 hours of classic WWE wrestling.
8:00pm: From December 28, 1984 featuring Hulk Hogan vs The Iron Sheik for the WWF World Heavyweight Title.
9:00pm: From October 19, 1990 featuring The Texas Tornado vs Mr. Perfect for the Intercontinental Title.
This week's show is particularly exciting for me because the 2nd hour is one that I actually attended. If I had to make a guess for that show, the lineup would be something like this:
Intercontinental Title Match: The Texas Tornado vs Mr. Perfect "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase vs "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes WWF World Tag Title Match: The Hart Foundation vs Rhythm & Blues
as for the first show, I have no idea yet since they haven't released the lineup yet. But it was The Junkyard Dog's MSG Debut so they could show that. There's also a great tag match with Snuka and The Tonga Kid against Piper and Orton. Either way it's looking like a great show again this week. So join us in the thread tonight and remember
NO SPOILERS!

Off topic but it's amazing how one woman can completely put you in a downer of a mood It really is, sometimes even wrestling can't get you out of that funk, I've been down that road before. I take it you're having your own problems right now, correct? As for the MSG shows, I'd probably watch the first one but not the second as for some reason I didn't like the WWE in 1990 all that much.

It just involves several mind games and promises that they probably never intended on keeping. Throw in a 9 month wait for that person to move from NY to here while still dating guys then suddenly moving down here and having a "boyfriend?" all of a sudden being here to help her unpack after making comments of a certain nature to me last Wednesday about us doing things. See? I confused myself and I know what I'm talking about! As for the 2nd show, it's much better than it sounds on paper. Trust me.

That 1990 card looks great for memories of when i was about 6/7. I shall be downloading that if i can tomorrow because it's not shown over here in the UK.
Will they show all the matches or just some?

In that case maybe i wont download, but this is from my favourite WWF period, 1990-92, which was the period i watched before i came back during the mid attitude period in 1999.
Not that you'll needed to know that, but hey!

Hour 1: Jimmy Snuka & The Tonga Kid vs. Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton Dick Murdoch & Adrian Adonis vs. Jack & Gerry Brisco for the World Tag Team Championship Hulk Hogan vs. Iron Sheik for the WWE Championship Hour 2: Koko B. Ware vs. The Warlord Texas Tornado vs. Mr. Perfect for the Intercontinental Championship Dusty Rhodes vs. "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase The Hart Foundation vs. Honky Tonk Man & Greg Valentine for the World Tag Team Championship Is it a spoiler by saying who wins the championship match in hour 1? Also SD Jones was on both events, but gets shut out of both shows. Hour 1, ehhhhhh. We all know what happens and the other matches I could care less about Hour 2, I'm so there. Honky Tonk Man in action. Will I be the only 1 keeping an eye on Kerry's boots. Back then I didn't know about his foot, but now that I know, I want to see if I can notice anything different

Yes because we've already seen Hogan lose a title match via countout during these shows.

I'm really looking forward to hour one even though they'll have to do some editing for it. The Hogan/Shiek match isn't that long but the two tag team matches clock in at 26 and 16 minutes according to the History of the WWE website. But just look at the talent on that card. Not to mention the fact they're going to show the angle where Piper broke the record over Captain Lou's head, helping to set up the first Wrestlemania.
This was also the night, behind-the-scenes, that David Schultz b*tch-slapped John Stossel.

I was wondering which MSG show that was, Schultz did seal his fate there but he says he was under orders from Vince. I could understand that as at the time wrestling was defended a lot by the guys in the business. I hope they do show the Piper/Lauper incident.

I'm a Hart Foundation mark and I love the Honky Tonk Man so that Harts/Blues match should be a treat! I wish Rhythm and Blues had gotten that rumored tag title run.

Koko and the Warlord are also on the 2nd show. The Warlord/Koko match I have on a coliseum tape was actually pretty solid with Koko doing a fantastic job of carrying Warlord, and Warlord doing a decent job of keeping up.
