yeah yeah I know this is REALLY pushing it but let's all take a moment of our time and ponder what would happen if ROH were to buy out WWE.
would there be a WWE invasion?
who would get pushed?
who would turn into jobber material?
what would happen in the locker room?

It's a hypothetical question. Like an issue of Marvel Comics "What If."
You don't see The Watcher going "PFFFT, Never happen, see ya next issue!"
Anyway, ROH would own WWE's tape library, meaning we'd get every awesome "Best Of" DVD humanly possible. I could see them doing an excellent invasion angle, with guys like London, Kendrick, and Punk being questionable as to whose side they're on. Plus, we could get Kings of Wrestling vs. DX. That would be awesome.
And Bryan Danielson would get his win back from John Cena. ;D

Okay, I'll have a go at this...
would there be a WWE invasion? Sure. It'd be too good an opportunity to pass up.
who would get pushed? Cena could easily be a top heel considering the hatred he gets... a heavily hyped "dream match" between Benoit and Danielson... CM Punk as a heel, working in a "sequel" to his ROH title run... Vince of course would be leader of the WWE faction.
who would turn into jobber material? Orton is the one who immediately springs to mind. Probably a few of the "hosses" become jobbers to smaller, more skilled wrestlers. Most of the older wrestlers would have to be willing to job to keep their spots on the roster.
what would happen in the locker room? I can see Shawn Michaels, Bryan Danielson, HHH, London and Kendrick (possibly with some of Danielson's friends from the ROH roster) forming a new clique. Other factions would probably form to try and counter them (like the rivalry between the original Clique and the Harts).

"If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass when he hops."
Cary Silkin and Gabe Zapolosy would have had to won the Mega Milions, Power ball and Publishers clearing house sweepstakes and got an internet lottery pay off as well.
Vince Mcmahon and Kiddies and Kiddies in law would have to have been put in the Loonie Bin that Flair was in during Russo's booking.

If ROH were to buy out WWE, there couldn't be an Invasion because most WWE viewers have never heard of ROH (sadly). I'm guessing they would keep WWE pretty much the same in terms of characters and shows and stuff, we would just see a shift in the booking. We'd see a stronger emphasis on the wrestling and less on the sports entertainment.
In other words, I absolutely don't think we'd see John Cena and the Great Khali removed and replaced with Bryan Danielson and Morishima. If they did, WWE would lose millions upon millions of dollars and it would die out. Instead I think we'd still see the likes of Cena, Edge, HHH, and all of them on the shows, but they would be spending more time in the ring and less time in live sex celebrations and stuff.

There would be no invasion angle. Gabe would concentrate on bringing up the quality level and slowly, quietly integrating both products (see: FIP)
Thing you gotta understand is Gabe is just as bad as McMahon - he has a hardon for guys with a certain look. It's a different look - less huge and more agile - but he still likes him the pretty boys. Plenty of skilled wrestlers without the look have made ROH appearances and never returned again.
That's why I predict John Cena would still get pushed.
Chris Benoit would be on Heat.
The Miz would get used a lot more more.
Hard to tell where Gabe's mind would go, but those three things I can say with certainty.

I'm gonna go with a different route on this one. Seeing as WWE is better known than ROH, I'm betting ol' Gabe would book an ROH invasion of the WWE as a means to introduce the ROH wrestlers to the masses. The whole story would almost have to be the classic "wrestling VS sports entertainment" angle that ECW's initial relaunch said it would be. Only this time, I'm certain Gabe would follow through on it, and he'd probably go overboard trying to make "sports entertainment" look ridiculous. I can picture, as someone said earlier, former ROH guys like Paul London, CM Punk, and others to be called into question as to who's side their on. If it were me, I'd let London announce his loyalties with the company that gave him his start--ROH. And I'd let Punk stick with the WWE and cut a wicked, vicious promo about how much more money he makes now than he ever did in ROH. (That's just me, though.) Tricky thing is...will ROH invade RAW, SmackDown, ECW, or all three? No doubt Danielson would be pushed until the masses see him as the incredible main eventer indy fans see him as now. I'm sure there'd be a dream match with him and Benoit, among others. Punk, Carlito, and Matt Hardy wuld likely get decent pushes, as well, along with a few others. Snitsky would definitely become a jobber. I could see Kevin Thorn and Umaga also going that route, since Gabe probably hates over-the-top gimmicks like theirs. And Khali would probably just vanish forever. Utter chaos at first. With the E coming under completely new management and, likely, taking its product in a completely different direction, a LOT of the old guard would probably hold a lot of resentment to Gabe and his band of upstarts. I have a hunch, Triple H would quit the company along side his in-laws. And McMahon pet projects like John Cena and Bobby Lashley would likely be downright frantic and paranoid.

Invasion angles very rarely work. Exceptions are UWFI and nWo but they were made to look strong and alot of times ego come in and they would make WWE look stupid. Look what happened when JCP/UWF or WWE/WCW feuds happened.
Anyway if the unthinkable happened I see them running it as two seperaate companies with ROH getting bigger eventually but wait on the invasion angle until ROH is big enough to justify that angle.

I'll play the game.
The honest to God truth is, the roster would climb to an enormous level, so big in fact that Gabe and Cary would have to cut guys, probably the guys they don't really see fit as rising to the top or even carrying the bottom of the card. By which I mean, we'd be seeing less and less and less of Boogeyman and Khali. Maybe even less of Murdoch and Cade.
I don't think there'd be an invasion angle, but I could see them either trying to get as many dream matches out of the way as possible, building up to some of the bigger ones...Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Benoit would obviously be one of the mack daddies of dream matches. Hell, Shawn Michaels vs. Danielson would reel me in. I think, if Samoa Joe were to leave TNA and become one with ROH again, Joe vs. Benoit would be an inevitability. There are quite a few others in there, but thats gonna take me a while.
Here's one for you; the safe style...with the added dates and bigger schedule, would ROH leave it intact to reduce the risk of injury for their wrestlers? I'm thinking they would, but they'd definitely make a lot of changes, such as letting the Cruiserweight Division wrestle their own style instead of making them wrestle like smaller hosses.
Also, Briscoes vs. Londrick.
