Most of you have noticed by now the addition of MMA to this forum.
I made the decision to add this here, and it will remain here for the foreseeable future. Some of you may agree, some of you may not. I feel it's a natural outgrowth of the wrestling boards, considering not only the amount of crossover appeal, but the fact that there's very little activity in this forum outside of TNA and to a lesser extent, ROH.
Whatever your feelings are regarding it, keep your fellow posters and the rules in mind. There will be no mocking of MMA fans, nor will those who prefer MMA mock the wrestling fans. You can co-exist in peace. If you do decide to froggy and make your dislike of one or the other public, you better make it in the form of intelligent coversation. And no, ragging on pro-wres for being "fake" doesn't count.
I do hope at least the majority of you either like this change, or will at least tolerate it.
Thanks
-Madison

I think there'd be more ROH activity if it weren't for the policy where all ROH DVD posts are supposed to go in that one approved thread. Could we maybe get a re-think of that policy?

Actually that was the idea of some of the posters, myself included. It makes it much more convenient for someone to go through those threads to get show suggestions, know what's sold out, and know when a sale is going on without cluttering the board with a separate thread for every sale or new show release. When we started those there seemed to be 4-5 threads a day asking pretty much the same thing "what's a good show to buy?". There really isn't a lack of activity, that thread fills up rather quickly.

This might be my personal limitations, but I find it pretty difficult to follow. I can see the rationale for sale and release announcements, but what's the harm in "what are good dvd's to buy?" threads?

I can see the rationale for sale and release announcements, but what's the harm in "what are good dvd's to buy?" threads? Well there's no harm per say, but it just got kind of ridiculous when there were three threads on Page 1 asking the exact same question. You'd just copy and paste your answer from one to the other. At least with this people can look through the threads themselves or if they want to ask there are usually 4-5 of us who answer and we end up getting back to them sooner than later. If the mods decide they are a problem at some point for whatever reason then I'm sure they'll do away with the DVD threads, but it seems to be the most convenient way to go and it's worked since last November.

In regards to the big RoH DVD thread, if there's a poster out there with the DVDs I think it would be greatly beneficial to just review the DVDs you have so people can go there and see the reviews for what people have instead of always asking, "Which DVDs are good?"

It will take some gettin used to w/ MMA on here
I train MMA.... but first and for longer Ive been a fan... and I support MMA in any way shape or fashion to support that it isnt just some brutal bloodsport.
I have other boards where I talk MMA with fans and other fighters.... I come here to get my kayfabe fix and talk about my longest passion.... PRO WRESTLING....
but this might grow on me.

I REALLY never thought the contents of a internet message board was THAT important either way.
I certainly don't think it's something the detractors can't overlook.

I'm a fan of both wrestling AND MMA, so this suits me just fine. Second that. In fact it's going to keep me as a more frequently recurring visitor post-WrestleMania, since these days I'm usually far more interested in UFC and Pride than anything going on in WWE. If it weren't for top flight indies like ROH, my interest in wrestling might wane completely. More often than not I watch WWE television for the trainwreck spectator aspect, and when I want to see a good fight I leave it up to UFC, Bodog, IFL, et cetera.

Well, some people were using this part of the boards for MMA anyway. Personally, I feel that MMA belongs in off-topic and that this part of the boards should be for wrestling only.

If I wanna discuss MMA, I'll go Google an MMA board.

If I wanna discuss MMA, I'll go Google an MMA board. There aren't that many, and there aren't that many that are any good. The Wrestlecrap forum is already heads and shoulders above most.
