As long as he doesn't start saluting the military, putting over his Kennedy Klan, kissing babies and all that nonsense, he'll be huge. I would be a full supporter of the Ken Kennedy Klan

I definitely agree that he is the WWE's future. The WWE needs to strike when the iron is hot, however, and I think they should put the belt on him at Summerslam. If they wait too long, Kennedy will cool down and lose some of the steam he'll have upon his return. I think Kennedy should blindside Edge at an upcoming PPV and start a huge feud with him but not get his title shot until Summer Slam. The people will go nuts if Kennedy came out, nailed Edge from behind, called his microphone down from the rafters, and proceeded to pummel Edge to a bloody pulp with it. It'd be glorious, and kind fo similar to Austin/Hart...cept Austin never got to beat Bret.

Soon enough, I expect Kennedy to be in the main event, but I'd have other plans for him.
Want Kennedy to truly get over? Have him go against The Rock. I know that he said he's done, but shell out those bucks and get him in. It would have the simplest of starts, Smackdown in Miami, Rock makes his comeback and it's advertised for several weeks. Rock comes in, pulls a promo, but lets down the crowd saying the he will not be wrestling again. Enter Kennedy. Kennedy questions why The Rock is wasting so much time on Kennedy's show. War of the words, a brawl, and all of a sudden The Rock is feuding with Kennedy.
Played out, with Kennedy winning surprisingly cleanly would definitely get the man over.

I think Kennedy has the potential to bring a boom period. The reason being in the fact that the stars that have brought boom periods to wrestling have all had a recognition with non-fans (Hogan, Austin, Rock). For example, non- fans wouldn't have a clue who Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels are, even though they are huge names in wrestling. Ditto John Cena. All that said, I was in the pub the other day with friends from college (none of whom are wrestling fans), and for some reason i started to drunkenly blabber on about wrestling. My friends said that they didn't really like wrestling, but they loved that Mr. Kennedy guy. Then we all started yelling 'KENNEDY!!!!' at the top of our lungs. My point in all this? That is the first time since the Attitude era i've heard a bunch of people who don't like wrestling not only being aware of a wrestler, but also saying that they enjoy said wrestler- and they even knew his CATCHPHRASE!!! With WWE Creative's seemingly never-ending ability to ruin a potentially great thing, i can't say for certain that there will EVER be another boom period for wrestling. But IMO Mr. Kennedy is their best chance to create one. Good point, I was on a hip hop message board the other day and non wrestling fans were complimenting my Mr Kennedy av over there and saying how great he was. ;D

WWE is over scripted these days, so unless he's scripted to be a star, he will be ignored and kinda pushed into the corner.

Kennedy is great and Im sure will be entertaining for years to come but the problem is not that the wwe doesnt have the talent to be as good as the 90's but they lack the angles and creative writing they had back in the 90's. It all goes back to after WCW went out of binuess, the wwe figures, why work hard, there is no one to compete against. Even with TNA,there just isnt a threat to make the wwe creative team work harder.

I dunno about another boom period... They always seem to happen every 10 years or so, and it's been about 10 years since the last boom...
What WWE needs is more old school writers like Dusty and Michael P.S. Hayes. When they were in charge of Smackdown, I've gotta say, it was some of the best action I've seen, and I often found it superior to Raw. (JBL on commentary helps it's cause too)
They need some old school writers, rather than the soap writers they tend to hire... Or at least a writer with an old school attitude.

Now if someone starts getting over without the writers(Christian), they'll sabotage them. C'mon... not again with "Christian was the next Rock, but WWE aborted his push"... Christian was getting good reactions, but so did Virgil in his feud against DiBiase, and so did Tito Santana for most of his career, but nobody would ever thought about pushing them as main eventers... The next boom will happen out of the blue. The harder WWE try to plan it, the fewest chances to actually happen it has. I think we won't have a boom until our society finds out the "trend of the decade", so WWE can ride along with it. In the 80s it was about rock'n'fun --> cartoonish over the top characters. In the 90s it was about anti-heroes and rebellion --> DX, Austin, Rock... The 00s so far are a DULL decade without a real identity --> relics from different eras. And C-list celebrities plus attempts to get wrestlers into the C-list... Not saying Christian would've been the next big thing. But he was held back for political reasons. Who would've thought that "Stunning' Steve Austin would be go on to be the hugest thing in wrestling? You can't know for sure unless you at least give a guy a shot.

Kennedy has that thing where he says his name twice-I'm not impressed, the rest of his mic work is ok. I don't think it's right comparing him and edge to anybody-they are their own people

For the last time, Edge is the person who could play off against him.
