Found this on wrestleview. Its a fan's report from a house show Kennedy was involved in
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Mr. Kennedy is believed to have suffered some type of a tricep injury over the weekend. There are no specific details about the injury right now, but it appears to be significant.
We were also sent this note by Matt W.: Hey guys, just thought I'd pass this along. Mr. Kennedy worked the Binghamton house show with a serious tricep injury. I was at the hotel where they were staying and was lucky enough to see him before the show and he told me he thought he tore his tricep the night before in Poughkeepsie. He could hardly sign the photo I had for him because of it. He did work the Binghamton show but was clearly not himself.

At least now they can hold off on the MITB shot but, damn, Smackdown! is taking another hit. It should be interesting to see how they make up for him, Taker, Booker and, Rey being gone until the latter part of the year at best.

I hear the ratings are not so hot right now. Undertaker has to drop the belt to Batista. They're bringing on Mark Henry. And now this. To quote Marv from Sin City: "And everything seemed to be going so well....." Dwight said that. But, yeah, everything was going great; and now...f***!!!! Well, I guess Kane, Chris Benoit, MVP, and Matt Hardy are getting pushed. They could also bring Randy Orton or Edge to SmackDown!, call up some guys from OVW, or bring in some guys from DSW.

ANOTHER TOP WWE STAR GOES DOWN TO INJURY by Mike Johnson @ 10:59:00 PM on 5/7/2007
For those wondering why Ken Kennedy lost the Money in the Bank briefcase to Edge and was completely laid out tonight during Monday Night Raw, the reason is Kennedy suffered a horrible tricep tear over the weekend, tearing it right off the bone during a house show in Poughkeepsie, New York Kennedy is scheduled to undergo surgery shortly and is expected to out of the ring for an estimated five to seven months.
Given the way he was written out, one would think Kennedy be returning a babyface but given the way the company changes plans daily, I wouldn't consider that a given until it happens.

Lesson to all WWE wrestlers: If you are told that you will be getting a "sustained push".........RUN. Get sick. Quit. Do whatever you can, just get the **** out of dodge.
HHH: Long face run with DX...............BAM! Quad tear.
Undertaker: Longest title reign yet for him...........BAM! Bad arm.
Kennedy: MITB Winner.......sustained main-event push with long-term plans..........BAM! out 7 months.
Mark Henry: Ate breakfast this morning. Tried to get out of chair.............BAM! out 6 years.

I think that is totally and completely waxin stupid. I mean, his plan was to not use the damn contract for damn near a year. He didn't have to drop it, they could have just kept him out of the ring while he healed and made him just cut promos till he healed. Something other then Edge winning it off him.
