I think this would be ideal. Besides, they might actually cut some of the backstage skits, you never know That is what I was thinking. A lot of what goes on with Vince and the rest could be cut out since they wouldn't need a lot of filler and could lead to longer more drawn out thing (granted they have drawn out a lot things already). EDIT: Right now at two hours (well, 2 hrs and 10 minutes or more for RAW) for both RAW and Smackdown! along with the split rosters that leaves a lot of time for filler in between matches and the promos (Yeah, they have a lot of talent that isn't on TV but, the filler time wouldn't give them a lot for matches). That filler typically involves whomever is in the main event scene or the McMahons. If they cut to 90 minutes, a lot of the filler could be cut and those in the filler wont be stretched or over exposed as much. This could help them a lot by making their appearances mean more and help improve their receptions.

Naw, 2 hours is the right time, if it was cut down to an hour and a half that wouldnt mean any less Cena, it would just be like less WGTT, Super Crazy, etc...

I really wish WWE would go to two shows with one big Flagship show and a show featuring the new talent and the mid-carders. I think Russo was right that the introduction of Smackdown killed the quality of WWE. With that said though, I don't think you can get new talent over as well as continue storylines and maintain established wrestlers in any less than two hours.
Also why would the E do this? Wouldn't it mean less advertising dollars?

All they need to do is get rid of WWE Films commercials, and replays of what happened last week and at the beginning of the show.

Yeah, because Raw has 15 minutes of wrestling in a 2 hour show!

They would cut 28 minutes of wrestling, and 2 minutes of promo time from midcarders trying to develop a feud.

- Pulse Wrestling See what you did AOL/Time Warner? Without WCW WWF sucks! Oh yes, so now matches can be cut down to 2 minutes each... On the plus side... We'll only have an hour of ads, instead of 90 minutes...

Smackdown would loose about 2/3 a match if they dropped 30 minutes.
