Honestly.... goes on Real World or Road Rules, one of them, doesn't have to work or have a job since he was on like every season of those challenges, gets unlimited ass, says he likes wrestling on the show, gets on tough enough but loses, but still gets on WWE, gets to wrestle the undertaker and a main event, and is now in the royal rumble?? All with severe limited skill. Crazy

But one day soon his fame will go away and he'll still be the Miz. Totally not worth it.

The guy deserves the good things he's gotten. I met him at a DSW show near the beginning of the company, and Miz was easily one of the top five nicest wrestlers I've ever met. And he really does love the business. He and I talked wrestling for about ten minutes after a show. Great guy.

I think you have to make a distinction between Michael Mizanin the person and how WWE has booked The Miz. As a person he seems to have worked as hard as any other entertainer for the success he has been given, i.e. earned. I think as wrestling fans we forget how, um, "counterintuitive" it is for people with mainstream success to consider wrestling. The Miz is no K-Fed.

The luckiest wrestling fan alive is probably one that doesn't get beaten up that much...

He is pretty lucky, he dropped out of school to go on Real World and ended up making a career out of being a reality tv show contestant somehow, then got to be a full time WWE wrestler. I'd say the odds of things going that way are like one in a million at best.

thank you! Miz has actually been working independants for years, (if i have the right guy *checks* yes i do). he does love wrestling (i've seen an out-of-character doco on him). he at least deserves respect. even if you don't like the Miz character

The Miz is a pretty good talent, and he definitely is pretty lucky. He hasn't been working for many years, but at least he wasn't a wrestler who just started this year. He wasn't someone who was just given a shot because of his name. He is actually a good talent.

He can bump. So get used to him, rather he gets pushed or not, that'll get ya far.

I don't doubt he's worked hard at everything he's done, he seems really driven. But yeah, he has some wicked luck working on his side too. What would seem like a really stupid choice (dropping out of college to be on an MTV show) ends up being the cataylst to a TV and WWE wrestling career.

For all that we say against him, the Miz has some athletic ability and if nothing else will be a good manager or color guy. He is lucky as he was a fan, got a chance, and really in the right place at the right time.

I think the match on Friday crushed any doubts I had about the Miz. Before that I didn't much care for him. Now I do.
