There was a Terkay Surprise today.
I liked Sylvestor Terkay. Never did say a negative thing about him just because he looks like a hoss.

I'm sad they fired Terkay, they never gave him a real chance to do anything.
Wow, he got the standard three week debut "push" everyone this side of Jimmy Wang Yang gets and then booted him to ECW. How the hell do you make yourself stand out from the crowd with that?

I'm surprised Gangrel was still under contract. I'm kind of surprised about CW being let go. I thought he had potential that they could have done something with.

They needed to make room for Ace and Cassidy Riley Honestly none of these releases phased me at all, Snow at first, but his being kept as a trainer, so he's kinda not being released at all.

This has to be the first time that WWE didn't release a bunch of people they were in the process of pushing, or at least who had some considerable TV time. Al Snow? Once in a blue moon. Bashams? Rodney Mack and Jazz? Yeah right. Terkay's release was surprising considering it seems they were pushing him OK, but everyone else wasn't a surprise. Good for WWE for trimming some of the fat.

Suprised by some of them, but expected a few.
I was just surprised that they did it all at once, more than suprised by any name released.

Some of these were overdue, but I was surprised by Terkay and Mamaluke. Same here, except in my case "some of these were overdue" is changed to "I had no idea they were still employed." I wasn't sure if Snow was still around or not, but I was hoping to hear "WHAT DOES EVERYBODY WANT?" at the Royal Rumble.

In a way, I'm shocked yet not about Terkay.
Shocked that a guy they pushed was released. But for the sheer fact that he was EXTREMELY boring for me (and apparently others) to watch. Sure he's legitimate, but nothing about him screamed good matches.

Anyone else consider that Al Snow may have asked for his release from the wrestling contract? For a 40-year-old man making his living from his training gig, he might have said, hey Vince, I'd love to knock my health insurance premiums down by $300/month. Could you no longer call me a "sports entertainer?" That would save me a lot of money. Whenever it seems convenient to you, pull hte plug officially.
And I'm surprised they announced the two new hires today. That could've waited. I like that Ace Steel got a contract, but it was kind of obvious that they were interested when they hired him for a big gig like the Rump angle. Anyone else see him on ECW as either a) Punk's partner reviving the SCS to help depush him, or b) as a rival who can get Punk over even more in a teacher/student feud that Joey could get over if allowed to do so? Hope springs eternal...

Hopefully Jazz can go and dominate the TNA women's division if they actually get one going.

Terkay came and went. The push didn't do nothing for him and the WWE just let him go. They aint gonna fire Scotty too Hotty. Not yet anyways. Thats jobber meat for up and coming wrestlers.
