This has come up a lot...but it's the 20th Royal Rumble and the preliminary list of entrants for the Rumble is missing "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. I know Duggan's far from a great worker, even in his prime, but they're missing a chance for a great Rumble moment. Like so....
Have Vince backstage hitting on the divas or something. Duggan comes up to him, and respectfully asks for a shot in the Rumble, saying it might be his last shot and wants to give it his best. Vince laughs him off, saying he has no chance in Hell. Duggan goes into full-on "Tough Guy" mode, BRINGS UP THAT HE WON THE FIRST RUMBLE (as most current fans are undoubtedly unaware of this), then smacks Vince with the 2x4.
In the Rumble itself, have Great Khali enter by cleaning house for a while. Eventually, the ring fills up again and Khali's on the verge of being eliminated. Have Duggan enter here, give Khali a whomp with the 2x4 as the final shot to knock him out (A sly reference to Duggan standing up to Andre the Giant back in the day).
It'd get a pop. From me at last. FREE JIM DUGGAN!!!

I'd prefer someone young and talented, but since there aren't thirty of those guys in the WWE, why not.

I think it'd be great if some heel like MVP was No.1 and Duggan No.2. MVP thinks its an easy elimination but Duggan eliminates him right off the "bat" (PUN!)

Yeah, Duggan should go in the Rumble to celebrate his winning the first one.

He should win the Rumble and go on to face the champ at Wrestlemania.
It's his boyhood dream.

Ok, but just as long as Khali gets to eat him alive. I can't stand Duggan.

Ol' Hacksaw strikes me as one of those guys who will never willingly leave the business. As long as America has a flag and there's toughguys needing hooo'ed at, he will persist. Put him in the Rumble.
