The "Diamond Cutter can come from nowhere" faze was pretty cool in retrospect. The crowd went pretty nuts for it.

I remember he reversed the top rope chokeslam for the Giant into the Diamond Cutter at Starrcade 98 and it was awesome.

I remember on WCW Saturday Night where he had Eddie Guerrero up on his shoulder and it looked like he was going to powerbomb him only to turn him in mid-air for a Cutter.

I loved the cage match with Raven... of course, the Flock got in, and DDP did that beautiful "whip-Kidman-off-the-ropes-and-launch-him-in-the-air" Diamond Cutter.
Is there anyone wrestling now that does a finisher out of nowhere like that? I truly can't think of anyone.

Yeah, the roll-up-with-a-handful-of-tights cannot be anticipated by even the most clairvoyant of psychics. Miss Cleo can't see that shit comin'.

Taped ribs DDP > Any other version of DDP When did his ribs get like that? I swear it was like all of 98. Anyway, I remember seeing this thinking it was over...

I know I didn't expect him to get a crossface out of a Batista Bomb on Raw once.

Man, how over was DDP? That pop was LOUD! VERY over. It's hard to believe that only a year or two prior he was a B-level heel.

Man, I miss DDP. He and Sting were at the top of my markout list in WCW. If only he hadn't been completely and unabashedly neutered by the "motivational speaker" gimmick and the stalker thing with Taker.

The one thing I always remembered with WCW DDP was that he would NEVER hit the Diamond Cutter when he signaled for it. The opponent would always get some offense in or something, and either win the match from there or DDP would throw it out of the inner depths of his ass.
But yeah, I was a fan myself as well. I didnt care that he and Macho went up against each other for about 4 or 5 straight PPV's, I enjoyed it every time (despite today with Cena and Edge, thank GOD that aint our Mania main event).

In retrospect I was still in full mark mode at this time. I remember damn near crapping myself when we got to see DDP / Goldberg for free on Nitro. This match is still one of favorites to this day.

I also enjoyed the Diamond Cutter he gave The Giant at Starrcade 98 out of the Super Chokeslam
