Remember how it was like reported that if Bret wasnt gonna agree to be involved in his DVD, they were all gonna be making it real negative and stuff like they did with Warrior...
...but I was all wondering, what negative things were they gonna be saying? He was a hard worker and wasnt crazy or anything and didnt really have much to make fun of, so I mean how were they gonna do that?

Just guessing but, - Big Ego.
- Bought his own hype.
- Montreal was all his fault.
- Good but, not as great as he believed.

Well Bret wasn't a team player at the end. WHat he did was bad for buisness, and The Warrior DVD was not that bad trash talking wise.

Very interesting that more than half of the WWF/E roster (throughout all the years) is guilty of all of the above (replace Montreal with some other argument, disagreement, etc.). When they're with the company or under contract, it's simply ignored or glossed over but when they're not with the company, Vince and company dedicate a dvd to burying their legacy and career. Especially when JERRY LAWLER and HULK HOGAN had interview segments on the proposed first cut and when Bret came on board with the project, he saw that they accused him of all the stuff THEY had been guilty of in the past.

I'm glad this didn't happen and we got the best dvd possible. No one woulda come out looking good if they'd done the whole negative route.

Just a wiiiiilld guess!
HBK, Hunter, Flair, Hogan: Man, this guy was so bad, he like, totally didn't job at all and he was a huge player of politics!!!
I would not be suprised if they said it.
You know Merc, i think Bret was always a team player. He just didn't play Shawn Michaels' game.

Not sure if they were released (I'd LOVE to get a glimpse of them too) but I read several articles before and after Bret got involved and they just mentioned Lawler and Hogan in particular had unflattering stuff to say about Bret. As for Hogan's in particular, to get a good idea of what he would've said, go to Youtube and type in "Hulk Hogan" and "Montreal" in the search and you'll get a video of a radio interview Hulk did in Australia where he gives his take on the whole Montreal situation and Bret. It sums up Hogan in a nutshell.

It would have been absurd for WWE to do this.
Vince would have looked like a total idiot for pissing over Bret like that.

I'm guessing Michaels and Helmsley would have played a big part in the DVD.

The same people who will say Montreal was Brett's fault and that his ego got too big at the end tend to be the people who think Hulk Hogan deserves 5 gazillion dollars to show up at WM this year and give some a jobber the big boot and rip his shirt off. Wierd how that works eh?

Ric Flair would have been a willing contributor. Don't get me started, i cringed when i watched him on Off The Record. He didn't even think to bring along any proof to that rubbish he wrote in his book.
