For the first time in a long time I didn't watch RAW. It wasn't that I wasn't home. It wasn't that I had something better to do. I just didn't feel like it. As I sat there watching Law & Order on USA knowing damn well that RAW would be coming on next it was damn tempting to just keep the channel set on USA and sit through RAW like I normally do. But I didn't. I gave the remote to my wife I went through some emails instead.
Quite frankly I'm just bored with it. I don't like Cena. I feel HBK, Taker and Flair need to retire. Edge and Orton aren't all that great. I can't stand Vince. Crime Time is retarded. They ruined Mickie James by turning her sane. The IC scene is just the same 3 guys wrestling over and over again. Sad thing is they are building up for Wrestlemania.
Yes I'm a wrestling fan but I've decided I'm no longer going to force myself to spend 2 hours of my time watching something that usually only entertains me about 10 to 15% of the time.
So to you the fans that are getting fed up with the lameness of the WWE I suggest you give it a try. I don't regret it. I'll watch ECW tonight though I am quickly losing patience with that show as well. Not sure if I will watch RAW next week or not.

I'm with you totally on this. I don't think Raw is always a bad show (though sometimes it is), I mainly am just tired of it. I am burned out on it for all the reasons you mentioned. That's why I make a point to record SmackDown every week now. I am often gone on Friday nights so I used to miss it all the time, but I now record it and watch it over the weekend. It's worth it to see a different show, different wrestlers, different storylines, etc.

I didn't watch WSX last night for the first time ever.
Because it'll be on 89 more times this week.
And because I recorded it Friday.

I watched it and it was pretty good in terms of wrestling. Even the storylines weren't that annoying minus the Vince/Trump segments because no one cares about it. I stopped watching it live and recorded it for about two months. I was able to fly through it. Now I feel refreshed about RAW Live. It's not as annoying as before.

What else didn't everyone watch last night. I didn't watch King of Queens last night. Kevin James has backstage heat so they're jobbing him out this season.

I couldn't stand last night. I too may go on a hiatus from watching it. I'll give it another week. If things go sour, I'm going to stop watching it for a month or two at the very least.

With the way Raw's been lately, last night was a surprisingly good show.

How can you feel that HBK and the Undertaker need to retire when they most of the time have the better matches of the cards. They are need it now more then ever right now. I mean when you look at there Star power it is not deep. Compared to last year they have losted Mysterio, JBL, HHH, and Angle. Now you can't say that HHH and Angle name value have been replaced.
Now if you take away HBK, Taker, and Flair. Let see how well the Main events will be. What would we see from Raw? Lets see Umaga vs. Cena 3. Cena vs. Edge again like we saw all summer last year. Cena could also face lets see Orton. Yea people just love Orton's matches haven't they?
Smackdown what would we see? Batista (Who is way worst then the three you want gone.) Who would he face? King Booker again which were bad matches everytime. Finlay again like we saw in Smackdown weekly for a while. Kennedy again and watch him carry Batista to something watchable. Now look at that for a minute and tell me why I would spend 50 bucks to watch something that I been seeing for the last few PPV for ten bucks less?
Out of everyone on Raw I would picked HBK to face Cena out of everyone. Why? Because for one HBK always delivered at Wrestlemania. If anybody can make Cena look good is him. Plus HBK is one of the more over talents on raw that Cena as yet to face one on one.
Taker is a great move to face Batista Why? Once fans never seen Taker and Batista face each other. Two Taker is a proven good worker who could give us a watchable match out of Batista. Benoit is the only other guy who could possibly do that that we haven't seen on PPV . Kennedy can but we just saw that at the Rumble and again on Smackdown. So it wouldn't draw.
So reality is Taker and HBK are needed because nobody on Raw can fill the spot of HBK in name, proformces, and drawing power. Even if they had someone talented built up from the rumble until WM.
Because the WWE is down 4 big players. Two of which can't just be replaced over night and haven't been. Even if Angle been gone for months now. He not replaced.

I see what you are saying but it reminds me of the arguments from fans during the dying days of WCW. WCW's only big stars were Hogan, Flair, Savage, etc. so there were a lot of fans that didn't want to see them go. Of course WCW needed to build new stars. WWE has not been doing a good enough job of that either recently IMO so fans feel the only fix is to keep the old guys around for another decade. I've these guy's do their routines too many times. If I wanted to see them do what they do then I'll match a vintage match wehre they are 10 years younger doing the same thing better.

Dude, if you're that disenchantened with WWE, check out some ROH dvds or something. There's sure to be something out there to your tastes - PWG/ROH/NOAH and so on.
I understand where you're coming from, but I thought last night's RAW was one of the best for quite a while. A lot of the matches had more energy to them; I was surprised by the six-man tag. It wasn't a very good match or anything, but it was decent enough to be entertaining - the wrestlers seemed more fired up than they have done recently. Hopefully, leading into Wrestlemania, things will continue to pick up.
