I gotta admit though, I loved Russo's theme music! Sure it was a ripoff theme, but a catchy ripoff nonetheless.

That was when the "New Blood" would give people "Blood Baths." Apparently, someone turned the tables on Russo... Correction; "The mysterious red liquid of the New Blood". Tee hee. Magic blood that drips out of the rafters and paralyzes wrestlers (on the rare occasion that it landed where it was supposed to). Seriously, is Vince Russo 9 years old? did that stupid blood ever hit the fans? I remember a story about that.

Watching that match, did anyone get reminded of the "Slobber Knocker" mode from the old Smackdown video games?? Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking Its just like that. One move knock out. That was horrible, though I did mark for Goldberg. Why where he and Nash friends when Nash was the guy who ended the streak?

Hadn't Goldberg just turned heel the month before? How the hell did they expect us to hate the New Blood and cheer the old farts that had long since overstayed their welcome? .........underutilized young talent fighting their way into the main event/title picture = BOOO?!?!

How do you pin people without covering them?
It's like eating food without ingesting it!!!
But the best part was the very end where Schiavone screams, almost maniacally, as the show is going off the air "GOODNIIIIIIGHT!"
I mean, getting excited when you call the action is one thing... but yelling "goodnight" in a manner usually reserved for threatening to kill someone is another!

I loved the sheer irony of the "New Blood as heels" deal. The "heels" were getting pops for doing the cool spots and having good matches, yet during the intros there were "loud boos" everywhere. I do remember them trying (on a smaller scale) to get one young guy over as a face and it bombing. I shouldn't remember it, but I do. It was a promo in ring between Piper (yay) and Bagwell. The idea was, Piper would come out, rip into Bagwell, and somehow, thanks to Buff's killer face promo, the fans woud love him. The exchange went something like. Piper: You're nothing, you'll never be anything. Until you've main evented at Madison Square Garden, you're worthless. (paraphrasing, of course, but something along those lines) Bagwell: (clearly being set up to defend not just himself, but all of WCW, starts with a long, like three second pause where he just stares blankly) Yeah, well...shut up. (punches Piper, or some such) Needless to say, it went over as well as throwing puppies in a woodchipper at a church picnic.

Kevin Nash is clearly the greatest professional wrestler of all time. This video proves it.
