It was a great pop, but the one Austin got when he returned to take out Bischoff blew the roof off the Molson Centre. It was incredible. yeah THAT gives me goosbumps.. there was one i remember being even greater tho.. it was a random rock return to raw inbetween movies... somehow the net didnt get a hold of the fact he was turning up and the place went nuts. Oh yeah, the one where he saves Eugene. I was expecting a commercial break when Eugene was kicked out of the ring by Coach, and he's crying and walking to the back, then suddenly... IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLL.... Matter of fact, here it is. www.dailymotion.com/video/xguwr_eugene-interview-the-rocks-return

Man, i marked out like a 13 year old girl cheering for cena when HBK did that bret hart tease... Yup, and I laughed even harder when I realized just how badly he'd screwed over the fans. Honestly, though, if Bret were to return to a WWE ring, can you IMAGINE the pop?

Austin's pop when he helped win the title is #1 in my book and I don't even really care for Austin.

Y'know, I always thought "gave me goosebumps" was just an expression. And then I saw this thread. Thanks.

The pop for Rock when Foley announced him as his partner for WM XX was pretty sick. Also, from WCW, gotta give it to Flair winning the title from Vader, Flair's return at the Four Horsemen reunion on Nitro, and Goldberg pinning Hogan for the title. From TNA, somebody posted a personal video of the crowd when they announced that Angle was coming to TNA; considering the size of the audience, it was sick. Speaking of which, my favorite "smaller audience" pop is Kenta Kobashi making his entrance into the New Yorker ballroom to face Samoa Joe. Considering there was about 1,000 people there, they sound like 5,000. ...I die a little bit inside every time I see the Bret tease. I love that Bret continues to remain true to his principles when it comes to working for Vince, but I'd love, LOVE to hear the screaming guitar riff, followed by a hero's welcoming back, just one more time, preferrably in front of a crowd in Calgary or Montreal. ...Better yet, how 'bout in front of a crowd in Jersey?

Hogan in Montreal was insane. Jericho's fake title win was amazing. Any time the Rock made a surprise return. Man, there are so many. Crowd reactions like that make me appreciate wrestling.
(Edit) Forgot about the Bret Hart fake out. Wow. Almost felt bad for the Montreal crowd.

The thing that makes that so amazing is the way which you can audibly hear the crowd go psychotic for the Stone Cold enterance, to incredulous because they realize Mankind could win the title, and then to jubilation once he actually does it. Full range of emotion throughout that entire snippet.

How about the crowd reaction to Eric Bischoff appearing on Raw for the first time. It was a combination of "Oh my God!" and "WTF!". But it sure was loud.

I think JR popped harder for Stone Cold's return against Bischoff than the crowd did.

Going in a non-WWF/WWE route, I can htink of two monster pops:
When Goldberg pinned Hogan in the Georgia Dome for the World Heavyweight Title, people went bananas.
and
When Sandman returned to ECW after his crappy WCW run, the fans in the ECW arena went legit bat-s*** crazy. There used to be a fancam clip of it on Youtube, but it's been long-since deleted.
