Smackdown is fantastic.... man its hard for me to say as I havnt missed a Raw (with the exception of 2 or 3) in basically three years, but yeah, Smackdown, now that everyone is healthy and not elevated, is the superior show and overall best wrestling show currently in pro wrestling( sorry wrestling society x haha)

it's 2003 all over again
That might mean Wrestlemania 23 will rock (just wishful thinking)

Let Raw keep sucking like no other, Smackdown can continue to shine.

Ah... I remember the days where I didn't get UPN (and had to rely on BET for my televised misrepresented urban culture, but that's besides the point). I had to stay up until 2 to watch SD on Fox Saturday (or maybe it was Friday) morning, just to see what it was like. I liked it back then, because it wasn't as accessible as Raw and thus was like an indy show (this was way before I was exposed to indy wrestling, though). Now, I have UPN, and it feels less indy-ish, but the wrestling is far from what you'd expect of WWE.
Now, if some of the belts were utilized a bit better, some people were removed/altered, and Michael Cole would stop screaming "Oh my!" into my screen for every little armdrag, I'd declare Smackdown's Premium status on the 'TKJ Approved' list (they're currently at gold).

Smackdown is home to the most consistent wrestling and entertainment in all of pro-wrestling at the moment.

I haven't been watching much wrestling recently since my cable's gone. So i'm just wondering, is there a big four for SD this time like it did when it was on top the last time?

RAW is Snore
SmackDown's been really good recently on terms of continuity. We get rematches that make sense, and too many (see Hardy/Nitro). Feuds also seem to make a lot more sense than on RAW as well, and progress more smoothly.

Sometimes I wish that the better wrestling (and Bradshaw's commentary) could be on the live show, but I know that Vince just won't allow that to happen, so when I'm not out on Friday nights, I'll watch.

RAW the so called WWE 'Flagship' has (Like the Titanic) hit the iceberg & is sinking fast! Smackdown with JBL on the stick is by leaps & bounds better than Good Ol' JR & Jerry 'The King' Lawler spouting the same old boring cliches & kissing John Cena's backside! It's only been 2 weeks into the year 2007 & RAW has already subjected us to K-Fed/Cena match & that Rosie O'Donnell versus Donald Trump farce which as far as sucking is concerned, literally took the cake! (Pun intended!) SMACKDOWN #1

I think it's sad that we are not even a month in 2007 and we already have 2 gooker nominees, courtesy of RAW

I was saying that in 2004, when I thought that SmackDown was Wrestle-Crappy, but that Raw was just boring/repetitive.
Now, Raw is boring, repetitive, AND bad, and SD, apparently, is a decent show.

My only problem with SD is that Batista seems sort of out of it ever since his comeback. When he gets his fire back I guess you can say, SD will be even better than it is now.
I wish the Smackdown games would be better again.

I think it's sad that we are not even a month in 2007 and we already have 2 gooker nominees, courtesy of RAW The deciding factor is whether or not we'll be able to remember it at the end of the year. Like someone else mentioned, I catch RAW for a few minutes or so but I never watch it in full. It's just not the same with SmackDown, though because they don't focus on just one aspect of the roster. They give attention to many, no matter how limited they are. SmackDown is truly the most entertaining show right now. Whoever says otherwise will be facing... THE UNDERTAKAH.

I haven't been watching much wrestling recently since my cable's gone. So i'm just wondering, is there a big four for SD this time like it did when it was on top the last time? Actually no. Outside of Undertaker, Batista and maybe Booker T and Benoit, there are no "Major" names. Just a lot of solid booking, solid matches, and overall entertainment. They also do an excellent job of adding in new talent (MVP, Kennedy, Lashley (when he was there), Londrick). Not to mention their "Wrestlecrap" stuff, like Boogieman and , dare I say it, The Miz (he did a great job this week, maybe because it was just Taker kicking his ass) is entertaining.

What you are seeing is how the different styles of writers can help or hurt.
On SD you have Michael Hayes and Dusty Rhodes running things and you can tell. Because stuff makes sense from a wrestling standpoint, feuds, angles, everything makes sense. And thats what you would expect from 2 ring veterans.
On Raw you have Gerwitz and his merry band of Hollywood rejects, and once again, it shows. K-Fed, Rosie vs. Trump, angles and/or charecters dropped out of nowhere, or are non sensical from a wrestling standpoint. Some wrestlers can dissapear from the face of the earth seemingly for months at a time and then dropped back in and then dumped again when they "shockingly" get no reaction.
On ECW you have Dave Lagana and the Paul Heyman dicsiple(whatever his name is) and its to early in their regime to tell either way. However I do like the angle with Punk trying to make Holly tap out and Holly avoiding it officially for several weeks. Heyman did a similar angle with Punk and Brent Albright in OVW, so im guessing this idea came from his guy.

The only WWE show I make an effort to watch. Simple but effective 80s-style storytelling, characters I have interest in, and... gasp! Wrestling!
Thankyou, Michael and Dusty.
