Like I said in the Mike Johnson PWI thread a little while ago, they pulled Khali from Summerslam and put that match with him and Taker on Smackdown because he wasnt' deemed fit for live PPV. Now he's getting a MANIA title match?! Yeah, I don't get that myself. He can't manage a live event, so he's going to HEADLINE?

WITH JOY.

I'm glad to see that "smark bait" is catching on.
<------- Inventor of the term
And yes, this very well could be smark bait.

Hahahahahahahahaha! Could this be the first time one of the main events of WrestleMania makes WrestleCrap levels?

Hahahahahahahahaha! Could this be the first time one of the main events of WrestleMania makes WrestleCrap levels? Nope, Hogan's 10 second title win beat it there by 14 years.

Lol, I don't mind this at all..I like Khali despite his lack of skill in comparison to the rest of the roster.

If Rob Van Dam, Sabu, or CM Punk aren't in the main event I will be pissed.

I dont think this is true, a couple months ago they wouldnt let him wrestle on live tv. I dont think they are putting him in the ECW main event at Wrestlemania

I'd prefer this to be saved for the next ECW PPV
I mean a match of this caliber to be buried midcard in WM is just..............Oh who am I kidding, I just don't want ECW matches at all on Wrestlemania
Don't watch the tv show so don't want to see then om PPV either if I buy the dvd

Im ok with this IF they make it like a fatal 4 way/6 pack challenge like was rumored earlier.
If its something like Lashley vs. RVD vs. Test vs. Sabu vs. Punk vs. Khali, I could handle that. He wouldnt have to do a lot and could avoid making himself look stupid in the ring(or more so then usual I guess).

Wow they've really outdone themselves, nothing says huge draw like Khali challenging for a belt.
They'll have to have a separate "practice mania" to edit the match, then show it on the Titantron =P

They'll turn the match into a Punjab Jungle Match that will literally take place out in the jungle, they will tape it a week prior to Mania so they can edit it accordingly.
It will be a 20 minute match, after final cuts, it will be approximetly 46 seconds.

Ok, I wanna say this. Earthquake posted something on the fourm that I'll never forget. He said that nobody is untrainable. Others take longer, but nobody cannot be trained. The problem is The Great Khali is being given too much to soon because of his size. It's so hard for someone like Khali to be a wrestler for a few reasons. He is so big that it's not very believable for others to beat him. Now, Big Show for example. He was good for his size. Especially back in the day in WCW when he wasn't as heavy. This guy was 7 feet tall, and jumped off the top rope. Show could move. Watch some old WCW tapes, he could really move. Undertaker. He walks on the ropes. He dives over the ropes. He's very athletic. Kane, he can move around the ring and he can hold his own with guys much smaller then him. These guys can wrestle, and they can sell at the right time and they can put the right offense in the right places. Khali can't, and he's having a hard time learning. He needs so much training before he can face people in the ring. And this is a problem in WWE. They push guys too quickly. The most successful wrestler in the WWE recently was Stone Cold Steve Austin. He wasn't a bad wrestler. He was limited because he had neck problems, but only because he had those problems. He had experience, he was a well traveled star. He even won PWI's Rookie of the Year in 1990. And he became huge 7 years later. The Rock. It came quick for him, but keep in mind, his Dad was a wrestler. He grew up around the buisness. It came naturally to The Rock. Hulk Hogan had been wrestling for years before he made it big in WWE, and he was even big in AWA and Japan. He had main event experience. They're pushing these stars so quickly. Edge was wrestling for 14 years before he became WWE Champion. John Cena, people bash him, but he is at least consistent with his matches and he's been wrestling since 1998-2000, around that timeframe, and he taught how to videos. Bobby Lashley is still green. Batista never did all that much and even when he was brought up, didn't know much about wrestling at all (according to Brother Devon). They have to stop jump starting pushes. It may work with Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, but that doesn't mean it will work ALL the time with every potential superstar. I agree 100% with you. And, I should point out that Lesnar and Angle were amateur wrestlers before they became pro wrestlers. Hell, they were GOOD amateur wrestlers. Kurt Angle won a gold medal at the Olympics. Brock Lesnar was an NCAA wrestling champion. There is a reason why there quick pushes worked well for them: they were already good wrestlers.
