I missed the edition of WWECW at the Hammerstein Ballroom but from what I've heard, Batista had the crap ripped out of him and he wasn't too happy about it. I've heard they were chanting "change the channel!" as well.
Someone please inform me as to what happened?
Thanks.
*Thumbs up*

That's what happened
the crowd hated the match and Batista was pissed about it

At the start of the match, there was a small positive response for Big Show. But when Batista came out, they just ate him alive.
Joey Styles actually defended the crowd against Batista's claims in his MEP column.

Well lets look at it this way, Cena was a total pro for all the crap he got done to him at ons2
Batista not so much, he even seemed like he wanted to go after a few fans, but big show was awesome even at one point make a money sign with his hands to the crowd, meaning 'you all paid to see me" which i thought was great.

Big Show was awesome as ECW champ IMO. He had some good matches with people you wouldn't think he'd mesh with.

HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM.
And Batista was visibly upset at the crowd's response. He challenged a fan who touched him while he was making his entrance (guess they're not use to that nowadays since the WWE entrancways are so far apart from the fans).

Match sucked. Big Show vs. Batista for the ECW title is a match that won't make a lot of ECW fans happy. It didn't. Batista couldn't take failure like a pro.
Put Batista in most small wrestling venues between NYC and Philly and he'll get eaten alive by the crowd.

Ron Simmons: DAAAAAAMN!! I knew I had that wrong! I searched what I put on google and loads of ECW stuff came up. I was lied to by the internet!

That episode ruled for the chants alone.

If WWE were smart, they would've swapped the Flair/Show match for the Show/Batista so the Flair/Show match would happen at the Hammerstein, I'm certain the fans wouldn't boo or heckle a legend like Flair.

That episode ruled for the chants alone. QFT The ECW shows would be 100x better if they held them there every week

Well, Cena was suposse to be boo´ed(That was the Storyline. And even then he would lose via screwjob. I hate you, booking team!) while Batista was suppose to be the face. He doesn´t belong in that arena.

You'd think I was vacuum for the guy, but it's another reason there should be more support for Cena. The lad recognized the crowd he was against and modified his attitude accordingly.

Big Show was great because he just heeled back to the crowd, IIRC. Even Cena did the right thing and went along.
Batista was just upset.
You have to know your audience. Having face Batista in the Ballroom was doomed from the start.

I'm not sure what they were thinking putting on that match at Hammerstein. They had to know it would be crapped on by the fans.

Shannon Moore also said he wasn't there to impress "the internet" then he probably wrote a blog about how he was so sad when they booed him.
