I voted 1997, but 1998 and 2001-2002 were great as well.

I voted 98. 97 Austin was also great, but the Austin vs. McMahon feud was incredible, and Vince has continued to try and copy that with not much success.

Austin vs Hart Foundation
I know Austin vs McMahon was groundbreaking, but I was infinitely more entertained by Austin vs the Harts. I think that feud is very much overlooked because of the success of his feud with Vince. But Austin vs the Harts was Steve at his very best IMO. He wasnt playing to the crowds, it was prior to his neck injury so he could still wrestle pretty good. And at the time i couldnt wait to see what he would do/say next.

Stunning Steve with the Hollywood Blondes... It says Stone Cold, not Steve Austin. His previous personas are coming in another poll soon.

Anything Stone cold did was amazing to watch, minus the GM days. They kind of killed his charcter a little bit for me.

I loved it when he started going after Bret Hart. Those promos before Survivor Series were great. "Pink tights? What the hell is that about Bret? This aint a ballet class!" "I will kick your pink and black ass all over the garden!" Then the double turn at Mania 13 and the Hart Foundation feud made the Austin into the superstar he became.

Definatley Austin Vs. The Harts. The stuff Steve did during this feud was great,Austin was still a great wrestler at this point. I found this feud much more entertaining than the one he had with Vince.

I'll just say that if you look back at the Austin/Hart feud and Stone Cold's mic work it was something special...actually any early Stone Cold was great...I just wish more heels/faces/tweeners were like that today in cutting promos....
