... Smackdown vs Raw 2007
RAW doesn't have much other than a nonsensical amount of crazy weapons you can use... like a giant fish.
RAW 2 includes such greatness like being able to raid somebody's locker room to steal their tights.
I didn't even touch Wrestlemania 21, but I've heard it is also quite horrible.
So yeah, I'd say Smackdown vs Raw 2007

I like RAW 2 out of that list, but if you're going to break the bank on an Xbox 360 it would be silly to track down an old Xbox game when you can just buy Smackdown! Vs. RAW 2007.

RAW 2 is pretty cool, and you can actually mod the characters' looks and movesets, and entrances.
You do have to make Rey Mysterio's mask, tats, and Pants though....
really that's such an unfinished game

Should get SDvR 07, but if you got some extra money and its cheap, get RAW 2 just to have fun with entrances. I spent a real long time on mine on that game, setting up all the lights and pyro at the perfect times, was real fun. The weapons are cool too...

Out of all those...SD Vs. Raw 2007 is by far the best. As for the other WWE games...I'm pretty sure the only BC original X Box WWE game is Raw 2. The others won't run on the 360 and may not ever (from what I've heard) which is no big loss considering the first Raw and WrestleMania 21 both sucked.
Since you're getting the 360 anyways...just spend a few extra bucks for the newest WWE game. That should tide you over until 2008 comes out.

SvR07 is by FAR the best of those. And yeah, only RAW 2 is BC with the 360 right now. It's pretty fun to mess around with the entrances, especially since it has custom soundtracks and all that. Too bad the game itself sucks.

You may as well just get both Raw 2 and SvR.
A used copy of RAW 2 shouldn't run you much in the way of cutter. Even a new copy would be dirt cheap.
Out of the above list, though, I chose RAW 2 'cos it's the best game out of those, overall.
RAW 1 was okay for a "first try" but not great, and there's little reason to choose that over Raw 2.
WM 21 is the worst wrestling game I have ever played outside of the infamous WCW Nitro/Thunder games. In fact, I'd say the plethora of promo clips from all the WCW wrestlers (most of which are hilarious) put Nitro and Thunder way above WM 21 in terms of entertaiment value; just watch all the clips and then turn the game off.
WM 21 doesn't have the clips and the gameplay is not much better. Plus I'd rather play as Ultimo Dragon or Perry Saturn than Batista or Rene Dupree.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

SDvs.RAW 2K7.
RAW 2's really glitchy in it's gameplay. Yeah the create an entrance is better than any other game off the top of my head. But the gameplay, and cpu are frustratingly annoying. Well for example there's a glitch during the game in which one of your rivals will run in and because they hate you so much they'll attack your opponent. Also there's another annoying thing that can happen with two cpu. If one is inside the ring and the other is outside they'll both enter and leave the ring at the same time, and continue this until a miracle happens.
So yeah, if you want to get the best game currently avaliable 2K7 is the way to go. Or if your patient, you could wait till around October/November and get 2K8.

When arguing the quality of SvR vs. any other game, glitches are a topic I'd probably try to avoid. The SD games are usually one of the glitchier games released each year.
Then again it's THQ...just about everything they put out is glitchy as hell. I don't even think they pay for playtesters.
*points to No Mercy memory erase bug, WM 21's initial COMPLETE INABILITY TO PLAY ONLINE and gameplay so glitched that finishing a match was a rarity, and every single SD game ever made*

My favorite would have to be SvR '07, only because it was also on the PS2(and was much better on the PS2). After how Comcast and Microsoft screwed me out of money for Xbox Live (that didn't work), I hate the Xbox as a whole. I'll take Day of Reckoning 2 on the 'Cube over all of them, and when SvR '08 comes out on the Wii...It's mine.

Honestly, I'd rather play Raw 2 than SvR. Older, glitchier, less fluid perhaps but I had fun. SvR is not fun to me. I try to play it time and time again and I seldom get through my first match before saying wax it.

My heart said Raw 2 for the storyline stuff, but my head said SDvR 2007. By default.
They're all pretty bad in the long run.

I'm finally going to invest in an X-Box 360 and was wondering what the best game out there was....vote! Bear in mind that if you're not getting Xbox Live, odds are you will only be able to play SvR, as the others aren't likely in the backward compatible list. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...GET A WII. If you're not getting Live, then the 360 isn't worth the money, seriously.

I always thought Raw 2 was the most underrated wrestling game of all time. Sure, it isn't as good as any of the Sony 2 games. The game has a ton of glitches and if you watch a CPU vs. CPU match you would get bored off your mind. I also hated the fact that females can become so popular that they won the World and WWE titles. I also didn’t like the fact that it didn’t have the IC title or the US title. There isn’t any unlockables which sucks. However, the game is rather fun to play. The CAW is the best I ever seen and you can even make your own custom entrance with music of your choice. I think if they worked a little harder on the game and put more stuff into it. The game could have been the best wrestling game of all time.

Raw 2, sadly, is the victim of ambitious game designers who are given too little time to see their work through. It was even delayed substantially, as I recall...then THQ just forced it out after awhile (surprise, surprise). You can tell theres a great game somewhere in there, had they just had another half a year to work on it. Instead, THQ forces it out, and then gets someone else to create a new game...we wait another year and a half and get WM 21. WM...21. Which, if you've ever played that game, you understand why my fingers tremble whenever I type it's name. Imagine if they had just waited another 6 months for them to polish up Raw 2, and then instead of WM 21 we got Raw 3? Aside from puro stuff like Koc 1/2 and Fire Pro R, I like DoR 1 and 2 the best, out of the more recent games. They weren't overly generous with the features, but the gameplay was excellent. The best WWE matches I have had (outside of No Mercy) were in the two DoR games.
