So the story goes...Meanie got his eyebrow split and had to get stitches to close it up. Then he goes on line and cries about it. I mean...everyone knows the strory...
Me, I KNOW wrestling is "fake", I KNOW The Blue Meanie looks soft as pudding, I KNOW he probably got shook up and hurt...but he's a pro wrestler! Have some professional pride. Pictures of you being stitched up should get over how tough you are, not be accompanied by "wah wah wah, woe is me, JBL is a meanie!" crap.
Reason I bring this up is I just wrote a loan for a friend of his and he and this incident came up...I did not share my opinion with his friend but I do now here with you guys...
Opinions?

It's a matter of pride. If he got beaten in a fight, he should have the decency not to whine about it.
It's very emasculating.

Was a little more than a split eyebrow. He already had staples in his head from a prior show, and JBL sucker punched him several times when Meanie was not expecting it. Had it happened during a regular match I doubt he would've "cried" as you put it. It's not a fight if you're not ready for it. It's assault.

JBL took liberties with a guy that
A. Wasn't really in a position to defend himself
B. Couldn't possibly hope to defend himself from a guy the size of JBL on his best day anyway, and Meanie himself has admitted that.
Anyone who saw what happened and watched it over again can plainly see that JBL was wrong in doing what he did. I, for one, relished the chairshot that Stevie Richards gave to JBL as a receit a few weeks later on Smackdown.

Very few fights are "fair." Besides, what could he hope to gain from posting pictures of himself afterwards?

What he thought he was safe because wrestling is "fake"? Meanie started it with his mouth, JBL finshed it with his fists. He should be happy it was JBL and not Vader he was talking crap about. If it was he might be dead today.

All Meanie said about him was that he was a bully, didn't he?

All Meanie said about him was that he was a bully, didn't he? Yeah, which someone like JBL should take as a compliment, really. Oh, and something you're neglecting to mention, guys? JBL's the real coward, know why? As confirmed by both Meanie AND Foley in shoot interviews (and in The Hardcore Diaries) Foley complained to Vince about JBL getting away with it, and you know what Vince's reply was? "Now, Mick, John says that the Blue Meanie hit him first."

When ur hit with a sucker punch like this, sometimes you can't fully recover and fight back properly.
JBL attacked a smaller guy, and didn't even had the guts to confront him face to face and choose the surprise.
Would he've done the same thing with the Undertaker? I doubt so. I think Taker could spit to his face and smurf his wife in front of him, JBL would do nothing. He's the real wimp. I hate him.

"How dare you call me a bully!!" *Sucker punches Meanie on national TV* It's the fine line one walks between being a man, and being professional. And I believe that JBL crossed that line once again. BTW, this is an odd reason for posting a thread like this.

Isn't the first rule of wrestling that you're supposed to protect the person you're fighting? It's unprofessional to take out personal aggressions in the ring. This is their workplace. Regardless of who threw the first punch, it never should have happened in the first place.
Had they been outside the arena, and got into a legitimate fight, then I would agree that Meanie shouldn't have been complaining.

first of all, i wanna get out of the way the fact that i think JBL is a tremendous commentator and wrestler. however, what he did was unacceptable, and as entertaining as he is, i would not have been unhappy if he'd been fired over this. what he did was not "a fight" what he did was attack a much smaller guy, who had fresh stitches in his head, because of something he wrote in a web blog. meanie said, and i quote "JBL is a bully". that was it. he was voicing his opinion on someone. that's like if i wrote "swarm is being harsh on meanie" and swarm jumped me from behind, would he be justified? no he wouldnt. if i actually challenged him to a fight and he attacked me, then he would be justified. the fact is that at no point did meanie say he wanted to fight bradshaw, all he did was voice a negative opinion on him, and JBL sucker punched him when meanie was trying to work an angle. what JBL did was not "beating meanie in a fight", JBL attacked meanie for no apparent reason other than to make him look better than meanie.
but then again, stevie did nearly kill bradshaw with a chair the week after, which was funny as hell.

It really was, I had no idea Stevie could swing a chair that hard. Was hoping it'd lead to a Stevie/Bradshaw feud but no. JBL is just lucky Meanie didn't give 'em one of these: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVy8ASv9VFI
