- John Cena is making seven figures, and may be the highest paid wrestler in the world today. On a side note, Cena wants to get into the recording studio for another CD.
(source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter)
I got it from Gerweck.net
So...let the complaining and debating begin!

He deserves it. He makes the WWE more cash then any other single star.
As for his CD I'll just choose to ignore it like I did his last.

I don't really care how much he's paid. Though I do believe he earns/deserves every last penny of it. And I doubt I'll buy this CD, just like I didn't his last one. .....LOSE THE TITLE

Well, he's the focal point in the company, so I would expect him to be the highest paid.
I have no problem with another CD. His CD was one of the very few things that I have liked from him since he dropped the rapper gimmick and became Superman.

I had assumed that he was making that much even before I read this. And I agree, Cena has earned every penny of it.

7 figures? Where Rock & Austin making that much? I'm saying yes... I bet the 7 figures includes his merchandise which if you can't tell by the crowd, is where the money comes from.

Yeah...John Cena definitely works hard enough and seems to live for the business, so I see absolutely no problem with the figures that he's making.
Not to mention that he's a really down to earth guy (I've met him), and his rap stuff is pretty good.

(Well, the good rap stuff is up for debate) I see no reason why he shouldnt be making top dollar

Wait.......
Doesn't Trips make ~$2,000,000 a year? If so, that means Cena is earning roughly $2,500,000 a year.
WOW.

If he does, he better not put any lame "Chain Gang" songs on it.

Well, whoever holds the WWE belt over a serious length of reign, usually should be your most popular guy in the company (i.e. highest paid).
The question is, Is Cena the most popular worker on the WWE roster?

He's the company's anchor right now, I expect him to be making the highest salary.I've never had any issues with the man outside the ring. He may not be my favorite wrestler, but he seems like a genuine all around good dude. I'm happy he's managed to attain the success he's gotten. I just wish they'd switch the champ up a little. He can still be the main face without being the champ.

Glad to hear he is doing good for himself and acheive a salary that 5 percent of the total US population can get. Hopefully he saves up his money retires when he decides too as he would be set for life.

I've got no problem with Cena making the most money, he brings in the most as has been pointed out. The question is, Is Cena the most popular worker on the WWE roster? I'd say that honor belongs to The Undertaker.

sweet its about time he did a new cd, his theme song is out dated. And I always enjoyed his music even though im not a big fan of rap or hip-hop.

Salary talk really separates Super John Cena from John Cena the person. I'm not pissed about him making so much money because he's down to earth, relates to a lot of lifetime fans (even though some may not like his character), and is a freaking workhorse. Combined with his inability to get injured, these qualities make him relatively deserving of 7 figures.
There's another argument here about athletes making truckloads of money like they do compared to teachers, nurses, and firefighters, but that's an argument that will only depress me.

I'm not surpised by thins. Like him or hate him as a lot people do. The man is a gold mind when it comes to selling merchendise . Kids and girls Love the guy. nobody sense Austin and Rock as draw as much in merchendise then Cena.

If anything, I'll download his CD. It's not like he's bad, he's just not good. If it means he returns to the rapper gimmick, then I'm all for it.
