Y'know what's the worst part about this? NO ONE stands to benefit from beating Khali, Khali hasn't been built up at ALL prior to this, he'd come out attack cruiserweights and proceed on his way, atleast if it was Mark Henry he has the whole injuring people thing to make him look like someone who needs to be put away by a face, Khali it's just like 'hey beat this big handicap ' It doesn't help that, like I pointed out in another thread, he's been jobbed out to Cena. So has Edge, and so has Nitro. I've never really minded the RAW-centric mindset, but this is annoying.

Well, at least its something new. As long as Khali dosen't hold it for TOO LONG, I'll be fine. They could've at least build him up and have him win the US title first.

Actually, this could work out to be something good. Have Kahli dominate a lot of the big guys (batista, kane, ect) then have him issue an 'open challenge' to the guys in the back. The lights go out, the countdown goes up and have jericho make his return Heck, his lion tamer/walls of jericho is one of the few moves you can put on anyone no matter how large/small. Jericho comes back, gets the belt, and we got a kick ass champ back

An open challenge ....no answer..again ANYONE try and beat the champ..... then the lights go out and that ominous chime kicks in

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but WWE has an article up discussing the "title curse". Talk about spoilers; the radio commercials in my town have been corrected to advertise Kane/Batista/Khali at the Bash, and Smackdown hasn't even been broadcast yet! www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/articles/5053332/titlecurse

The people who buy the ppv know or will know the change ahead of time.

Khali world champion? Blah! Unless the Giant killer Rey Mysterio takes his belt back or Kane actually wins the title. Um yeah, nevermind.

I assume this all sets up Khali vs. Rey at Summerslam where Rey gets the 'upset' win.

Whether it's Rey/Khali or any combination of Khali/Kane/Batista, SD's title picture sucks right now, iMO.
