I really thought they'd give him at least one more shot at Cena after GAB. But no.
"OK Bobby, nice work jobbing to Cena, we've gotten all we could out of you. Now go have a pointless, stupidly set-up undercard feud with a guy who we've already lost interest in and whose career is now on a slow train to nowhere - consider it a preview of coming attractions for you."
A pity, actually, since Lashley as a silent heel was actually tolerable.
Or was the Lashley/Carlito segment actually TOTALLY meaningless and they're going to continue Carlito's program with Sandman?

I would mark so hard if Lashley jobbed to Carlito.

They tried to kick Lashley to the curb, but Lashley did an AMAZING vertical leap all the way across the street!

I think they might have realised that Lashley just isn't ready to main event RAW yet.

Maybe they just wanted to motivate Carlito.

I've been so indifferent to Lashley for so long due to his lack of....charisma. I didn't HATE him, because there wasn't anything there to hate! So finally, after last night's PPV, I was ready to actually like him, and got excited to see that it was him that Carlito spit on...I thought, uh oh here's that side of Lashley we saw glimpses of previously, the "I just wanna beat up people and win titles" sight...Then boo. Wahh. Dang.
Kennedy Lashley would be nice..

The more important question here is:
What's going to happen with The Sandman??

Lashley needs to be in the midcard right now, he shouldn't have been anywhere near the title yet.

I think they might have realised that Lashley just isn't ready to main event RAW yet. Agreed. I think he's in a real awkward position now, because he's not ready for the main event but the mid card seems beneath him, I think he's going to be stuck in limbo for awhile, but I do look forward to his fued with Carlito.

Here's my take on this. Remember when HBK went out and the reports said him and Cena were gonna do a summer PPV? I think the bash was that PPV and that they put Lashley in the main event because he was coming off a huge push, why not milk it for a PPV? Now he's back in the midcard where he belongs, for now.

Lashley needs to be in the midcard right now, he shouldn't have been anywhere near the title yet. Lashley: You say your name is wwerules60 and need to be in the midcard right now and shouldn't have been anywhere near the title yet? I say your name is wwerules60 and you're a BATHTURD. Seriously though, I see this as somewhat of a test grounds again for Lashley. PPV buyrates, TV ratings and how the fans react after he loses cleanly? I mean, it's not like he lost the ECW title or WWE got a real chance to see the buy rates of him as the main name in a PPV. He won the PPV at D2D and that was in an Elimination Chamber where he wasn't the champ. I like Lashley. I don't think he's going to be a serious draw or anything and I think WWE knows that pretty much. He's still fairly marketable and a believable challenger from time to time. If I had to compare him to a talent from the past, I'd prob. go with British Bulldog.

Yeah, I see him winning the title down the road, but not anytime soon. He's still got a long career ahead of him.

Booker is pre-feuding with Triple H, Orton is feuding with Cena, Umaga is feuding with Hardy.
So Lashley will either feud with Kennedy, Carlito, or Snitsky. Kennedy seems like the one that is being kicked to the curb the most to me, he wasn't even on the GAB, and unless he feuds with Lashley, isn't looking likely to make it onto Summer Slam either.

Don't worry he'll cut through the talented Carlito like a knife through butter.
Honestly, Lash shouldn't be anywhere near the title scene, if you believe he's a credible WWE champion, you are very very sadly mistaken.

Lashley is just US/IC title material in my eyes. With the odd main event spot in triplethreat/4 ways.
