Everyone's favorite show is back after a week layoff this Wednesday at 8pm on the MSG Network. Here's the preview from DirecTV:
8:00 - From March 16, 1997
WWE Tag Title Match: Owen Hart and The British Bulldog vs Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon
WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Rocky Maivia vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Casket Match: The Undertaker vs Vader
9:00 - From June 27, 1977
High Chief Peter Maivia vs Baron Mikel Scicluna
2 Out of 3 Falls Match: Andre The Giant and Chief Jay Strongbow vs Ken Patera and Nikolai Volkoff
WWWF Title Match: Superstar Billy Graham vs Bruno Sammartino
Sadly, this is going to be the first time I miss MSG Classics. I'm going to see Less Than Jake and it of course had to fall on a Wednesday when MSG Classics was being shown. Why couldn't they have been on last week and on hiatus THIS week? ARGH

I encourage everyone viewing MSG Classics tonight to see the greatness in Doug Furnas and Philip LaFon (also known as Dandy Dan Kroffat in Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council). Together an awesome team, a devastating team who ran roughshod in Japan and PR and would've been champions in WWF save for the deep tag team talent roster at that time.
May I add that WCW dropped the ball with these guys too. Their feud with Terry Gordy and Dr. Death Steve Williams was huge in Japan.

The first show is going to be sweet with Vader in it. The 2nd one I could miss without being sad.

Be sure to keep this thread going in my absence. I'll be watching them when I get home and I'll post the full cards then.

I'll definitely be watching the first show, but I have a question, I did watch a bit of WWF back in 1997, but not a lot of it, did they plug this particular WWF MSG show on TV? Because I don't remember hearing about it.
The second show I could afford to miss.

Looking forward to seeing Bruno and Superstar. I've heard that the crowd heat for this match was absolutely off-the-wall.

I like how the footage from the Rangers was nowhere near the correct time period

Mean Gene and his real life comparisons either suck, rule, or are OK.

This should rock as hard as they're other 40 matches that were on Raw in this era.
