Out of all the wrestling boards I visit, this is the only one that is mostly pro-WWECW. Most fans realize WWECW is a sham. Welcome back to the What to Think Network. Remember if your opinion varies from ours. You're wrong.

I like how John Morrison is talking like Jim Morrison. His character is the perfect mix of hedonism and existentialism.
Maybe he SHOULD expose himself in the ring, like DX did back in the day. This is ECW, after all. Plus, it would get him literal "showing your ass" heat.

Remember if your opinion varies from ours. You're wrong. Nancy Grace? Also Butchie? Why do you gotta be a buzzkill? Sorry for having a different opinion than everybody else. The reason why most of us are on this board is because we mostly like the same things and mostly hate the same things. It's why we get along. If you care that much about other peoples opinions either go to one of those IWC sheep boards where there's 70,000 Cena Hate threads or stay here and stop badgering us because of our opinion.

ECW had been better lately but I hated it this week. I watched for nothing cause I just wanted to see Stevie and he got beat down in a 1 minute segment, and Balls looked worse against Miz than he did last week.

ECW must be good because my girlfriend (who is perpetually confused as to the lure of wrestling) actually finds it entertaining. She's a Cor Von mark!

As much as I like seeing Punk getting pushed. This is nothing like how ECW was or should been. Tell why it still called ECW? I mean there is nothing Extreme about it. Don't you think you might be happier if you stopped worrying about what it's called, let go, and enjoyed it for what it is? It could be called WWE's Pretty Fluffy Pony Bandstand, for all I care. I never said I didn't enjoy it. All I'm saying that the brand name is called Extreme Championship Wrestling. If you ever watched the orginal ECW it showed why Extreme is in the name. What is on Tuesdays is entertaining yes, but Extreme? no. That a problem and whne you are having a brand that is basiced of that company that fans loved and was brought back because it had a big following. Then gives us nothing like what it was or even close. I would be happier if something named ECW was really ECW and not just another wrestling show.

Regarding the crowd issues, I definitely agree that it is an unfortunate side product of the crowd mainly being there for SmackDown.
I think the only true way to resolve this is to make ECW tapings their own events. In other words, WWE would sell Raw tickets, they would sell Smackdown tickets, and they would sell ECW tickets. Admittedly ECW is not yet big enough to justify selling entire tickets to without pairing it with another brand. My solution to that is a) Build up the roster by bringing in more guys and also b) Sell the tickets at a lower price. People may not be crazy about paying to just see an ECW show... but if the tickets are less expensive than they are for Raw and Smackdown, people are more likely to say "what the hell, let's go to it"

Well, we now know that they totally killed ECW's main event during the Smackdown taping by airing a Summerslam preview which hyped a Punk-Morrison match. Sheesh.

Can't agree. Most limited roster. Most stagnated characters (a former school teacher, a vampire, and a guy who stuffs worms in his mouth) And while CM Punk and John Mor...(I'm not saying this yutz's last name. Stupid gimmick) are extremely talented (I like Burke too), there's just not enough talent or enough wrestlers on this damned show to even qualify it as a brand or a decent show. I counted it! Ten wrestlers! There are more players on a basketball team!

I must be assuming that right. No, I know that what it means because that what it says when I click on ECW on WWE.com. Big letter on the top of the page Extreme Championship Wrestling. It just initial you think that. I don't think fans just chant ECW for 5 years during hardcores at WWE events after the company was long dead. I don't think ECW was brought back just because of the intials. They are initial yes, but they have a legacy behind them. Would to say the same thing if the WWE brought back the New World Order and used the NWO logos. But the people in it would been Eugene, Big Daddy V, and Funaki. A bunch of guys that had nothing to do with the NWO. Would you tell me that it just a name or initial for that too?

Is being pissy over the name "ECW" still a legitimate argument?
Starting a sentence with "It's not the original ECW..." is basically stating the obvious; hardly a bastion of a coherent debate.

I'll concede I was wrong about the "only initials" statement, but seriously, it's been over a year, let it GO. All it does is hamper any enjoyment you can get out of anything if you let the little things bother you. And yes, this is a LITTLE thing.
