You seemed to be in the minority on the Dating game. And that's a sad indicator of how far the standards we hold WWE to have fallen. Who is "we"?

Since you were prejudicial enough to not watch WWE Idol, you should know that this week saw contestants Jillian Hall, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, and Lillian Garcia. So we won't necessarily see the same three contestants as you implied. So, like I said earlier, 10-20 minutes of "Haha, Jillian can't sing"? We get that every week anyways, and she's actually WRESTLING most of the time. It would make less sense if she wasn't in the contest.

Compared to her singing for a minute, then having a fellow heel make fun of her, wouldn't she have been better served by using her gimmick in a competitive match that might actually have a chance of making fans give a shit about her?

Most of the matches I've seen with her in them have made me care less about her. She may be a "good" wrestler, but it doesn't seem like it when I watch him. Then again, same thing with Beth Phoenix. These "good" wrestlers tend to not look good on their TV matches. Maybe they're camera shy?

These comedy skits are a decent change of pace from wrestling matches. I really don't have the attention span to sit and watch a 20 minute wrestling match like a lot of you hardcore fans do. I usually change the channel and click back occassionally once the face 'hulks' up.
I used to love the Bobby Heenan skits on Prime Time Wrestling in the 80s. I much prefered watching Heenan make fun of Tito Santana than actually watch Tito wrestle.
The WWE has always been known for this. A lot of their attempts at comedy is hit-or-miss. Personally, I really didn't think that Dating Game skit was that funny. The WWE Idol skit was a little bit better thanks to Regal and Santino.
It's diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess.

And there isn't a game show next week.
It was said that next week is Ron Simmons and Maria having their date from the Dating Game. So we'll see them on a date and probably Santino crashing it in a hilarious manner.

Regal delivered an amazing one-liner. That was amazing. "The main event should be changed to Roe vs. Wade, because that performance was an ABORTION."

I'd like Jeopardy. Simple, classic, and the formula is already there (SNL Celebrity Jeopardy). I can see it now. Regal: Let's meet our contestants.... first up, Santino Marella. Santino: I'm-a Italian-a! Isn't-a that-a hilarious-a? Regal: Next up, Maria! Maria: I'm dumb. Isn't that hilarious? Regal: And finally, Ron Simmons. Simmons: DAMN!!!!!!X20+rhymes. Scratch Maria out, put in Darrell Hammond in a cameo as Sean Connery.

Everyone has their own tastes... I like these sketches, and the thing they're trying to accomplish is to get Regal some TV time, which he richly deserves, and to first turn Santino and get his heel persona over.
I think Idol was actually funnier than the dating game, and plus, we almost got to see Shiek tell Regal he would humble him... (Although Shiek was a tough shoot guy, I'm confidant Regal would smurf him up.) Plus, we got a Foley cameo, and Ron Simmons saying damn and words that rhyme with it is FIFTY BILLION TIMES BETTER than ANYTHING Randall K. Orton has to say. (His promo tonight was the shits)
I love these sketches... I think the next one should be Jeporady. Family Feud.... Anyone remember that old Nick game show What Would You Do?... How About WWE Arcade like Nick Arcade?...
I could see this play out for months... A welcome distraction to the Vince-Kennedy is my spawn storyline. It could also get other people over after they've successfully done it with Santino.
Also... WWE has had some great comedy things... Gorilla and Bobby were always gold, and Fuji-Muraco was so funny... I'm glad I have tapes and YouTube, because I wasn't around to see TNT... Speaking of that... They should do that instead of SNME... "Cooking With Big Daddy V..."
Remember, you heard that from me first!!!!

Then Santino can fail horribly at sabotaging the date, being twarted by random wrestlers at the carnival. Just imagine Jim Duggan and his 2x4 on the Ferris Wheel. Ha Ha. I need sleep.

When it comes to dumb crap comedy segments on a wrestling show, yeah, I get a little negative. The Dating Game was one of the top 5 stupidest things I've ever seen, and I can't imagine ten minutes of "Haha, Jillian can't sing." was any better. Aren't you a Chikara fan? Isn't Chikara just one big Comedy fed mixed with wrestling. Don't get me wrong, I love chikara, I've seen every podcast. Back on topic, The answer is Whammy.
