The only person I've seen that was truly funny during those roasts was Colbert at Chevy Chase's.
No easy sex jokes or gratuitous cursing, just you know, actual intelligent jokes.

It was a ROAST.....the humor is SUPPOSED to be Raw and Offensive. Hell, Gilbert Gottfried (sp?) made a 9/11 joke like a week or so after it happened at one of the earlier Roasts.
NOW you hear 9/11 jokes......but THEN it would have been like shooting the Pope in the head on live TV. (For catholics)
So making a Benoit joke......Yeah, offensive, but on the scale of things......not so bad.
And this is from a Benoit fan (Of the wrestler)

Hell, I was kinda annoyed by the joke at first... but at the same time, that's what happens. The only reason I was annoyed is because I actually cared about the dead in this situation... and with that, it's a little hypocritical of me to actually continue to be annoyed. It's comedy, it's a roast, it's full of shock comedians who are there to mock each other by insinuating that everyone on stage, but them, is a failure at life and a horrible human being.... it's all in good fun though.
Simply put.... it's a joke... lighten up.

I didn't find the joke offensive, but I didn't find it funny either.

How about we don't make any judgments on who's going where after they die? Will that be alright? That's a good point. Nothing's gonna happen anyway.
