MSG Classics is back this Wednesday with 2 brand new episodes of classic WWE action at Madison Square Garden.
8:00 - From January 31. 1992
Shawn Michaels vs "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka
Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs The Undertaker
Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs "Macho Man" Randy Savage
9:00 - From November 23, 1981
Intercontinental Title Texas Death Match: The Magnficent Muraco (c) vs Pedro Morales
The Haiti Kid vs Little Boy Blue
Vacant WWF World Title Match: Bob Backlund vs Greg "The Hammer" Valentine
Tony Atlas vs Mr. Fuji
So join us tomorrow night for some great action. We've got at least 4 more weeks of shows before MSG Classics goes on hiatus until next summer.
Remember as always, NO SPOILERS.
Oh and to explain why the title was vacant (on the odd chance they don't even mention it on the show):
WWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - October 19, 1981
WWF World Champion Bob Backlund fought Greg Valentine to a no contest at 19:32; Backlund scored the pin when Valentine fell over after putting Backlund in an airplane spin but dazed referee John Stanley gave the title to Valentine and raised his hand as the winner after Backlund's leg knocked Stanley out during the airplane spin and Stanley thought Valentine had scored the pin, since both wore black tights; after the bout, several officials and NY State Athletic commissioners came to the ring and it was announced no decision would be rendered and the title would be held up pending further investigation; the title controversy was only a factor in NYC as Backlund continued to defend the title until the following month's rematch.

Other than that I'm really sour on the MSG shows. Most matches end in run-ins, count outs, or time limit draws. Seems pointless.

I'm actually on the board before 2 for a change, let me bump this back up to page one to remind everyone that the show is on tonight.

But still that's how it was in those days, the fans just wanted to see their favorites wrestle one another, I don't think they were too concerned with the results, unless a heel was holding a title and got himself counted out or DQ'ed which would then get heat from the crowd.

The first program looks great, but the second not so much.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever even heard of Little Boy Blue until now and I've seen my share of midget matches

*points to the sign that says "No Spoilers* Just trust me I've always wondered, why are you so picky about spoilers in these threads? These shows are older than 90% of the posters on this forum. What's the big deal?

What's the big deal? Most people haven't seen these shows, why spoil it? I didn't care with the Summerslam episode because that's a PPV and most people know what happens there
