I got that DVD for Christmas, and all I could think of was that I now remember why he didn't appeal to me. No real charisma whatsoever. Sure he's a good worker, but meh... Now, if you took Owen, and put him in Bret's body.... That's a total package.

I'm as big of a Bret Hart mark as anyone else on planet Earth. However, the one thing that drives me nuts about this DVD is how much Bret kisses his own rear end. Some examples are: {paraphrased}
"In the early-to-mid 1980s, I was the best heel in the company." "When the Bulldog won at SummerSlam 1992, he thought it was his crowning moment. But in reality, it was mine." "When people left the arena at night, they knew that the Hart Foundation match was easily the best match of the night."
As much as I love Bret, there are times when he sounds as delirious as Hogan or Warrior discussing their wrestling pasts.

Things to note; - Hairs pulling hair was a regular occurance, don't see it much nowerdays which is a shame as its a great heel tactic - Hart has the most believable punches in the industry - Three commentators does work - Women had big hair in the early 90's to! - Cameramen were far more visible back in the day - The cameras were crap back then, white lights streak on the screen regularly - Bret truely was the best wrestler in the industry, Cena could learn alot from just watching his strategies. ...and I'm only on DVD one! To be fair with comments like that which I see all the time, Bret was a great "wrestler" who sold "wrestling" Cena, while can learn alot about psychology from Bret, as every younger wrestler would learn from an old timer, Isn't suppossed to "wrestle", and If he even tried, It would be against his Charactor to do that. I think Cena should study tapes of Stone Cold and Sting.

if it had the summerslam cage mach against Owen it woulda been perfect
is it just me or when you watch Perfect vs Hart..both matches.. there seems to be something there thats not in the others..the flow just seems so natural and uninhibited..s if they just went out and had immense fun
and another thing ole Lord Volermorts triple snap suplexs in the owen tribute match look real sick and much better than the usual triple germans he'd do..they looked like they just about shattered youre back
what guys like CVena can learn is how to sell and how to impact moves, thats not just for guys who wrestle the same style, look at Angle..alrerady a great wrestler..learned alot jut by watching brets matches, lets face it as well as throwing punches, bret knew the art of playing possum better than anyone..and how to sell a nagging injury..for example his leg during the 94 rumble

I really love the bret and ted dibiase match with no commentery its great hearing them evoke crowd reactions with good ring psychology and million dollarmans heel talk. I love the bret dvd even though some of it is depressing, especially the extra with fallen wrestlers does anyone know what rick rude done for him cause after he mentions his name on the extra, bret says il never forget what he did for me, mmmm i just wonder.

Either Ted was really unfit or just generally made alot of noise during matches, but he could barely breathe for most of it.
Also during the bulldog match when Bret gets thrown against the stairs and blades, Bulldog comes out and throws him over to the other side and if you watch closely you can see Bret throw the blade on the floor.

Walked out on WWF, leading to an appearance on Nitro and Raw the same night because of Montreal. He also cut a promo about what happened to Bret.

I recently watched it. I noticed that during the Hart Foundation segment we experienced an ADRENALINE RUSH!

This is probably the best WWE DVD set I own.
My only complaint is - Bret, dude, could you have at least combed your hair, or let WWE's makeup dept do something for you? The backwards cap and pink shirt just didn't work.
