I know I'm gonna get alot of hate from Sting and TNA fans, but I seriously want to know this. I had an arguement with one of my friends who loves TNA and hates WWE about this issue and she hasnt answered my question. So someone on this board, please answer my question because I am starting to think that Sting might be a backstage politician.

Well Sting tapped to Kurt's ankle lock while he was pinning Christian, does that count?
I think that's like the only match he's "lost" in TNA.
Other than the DQ title loss to Abyss.
Even when he loses he pins someone, or shoves his opponent into barbed wire tables...
Oh and he lost to Jarrett cause Christian hit him with a guitar!

November 19, 2006 - TNA Genesis: Abyss w/Father James Mitchell defeated Sting by DQ to win the NWA World Heavyweight title! December 11, 2006 - TNA Turning Point: Abyss defeated Sting and Christian Cage in a 3-WAY to retain the NWA World title! January 14, 2007 - TNA Final Resolution: Christian Cage defeated Abyss and Sting in a 3-WAY to win the NWA World title! May 13, 2007 - TNA Sacrifice: Kurt Angle defeated Christian Cage and Sting in a 3-WAY to win the NWA World Heavyweight title!
i don't really see much to be honest.. any time he's lost is in a match with 3 or more people.

I've hated Stink since he ended Rick Rude's career. Son of a bitch.

I wouldn't say he's a backstage politician, I heard he wanted to have Abyss pin him, but Russo/Mantell wanted the silly DQ finish.

Daniels HAS to go over in the end of this program and look better for it. And no, I don't mean losing to Sting twice then finally beating him by cheating 1200 different ways. He needs two strong wins over Sting.
If they have Sting win this program, then someone tell me what the hell the point was.

The last person Sting put over? I think it was Hogan at Starrcade '97.

Sting is an odd one. You never hear any wrestler say anything bad about him, and every booker he's had has been determined to push him straight to the moon. He could be a case of a nice guy that the guys in charge have always favored a little too much. It IS odd for a guy to job so little for so long, and yet not have a reputation as a politician.

Sting suffers from the John Cena syndrom

I saw a shoot interview with Vampiro where he basically implied Sting was a douche but came short of saying anything bad about him. It was weird cuz normally Vampiro talks trash about everyone and doesn't give a rat's ass. Found it on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZSwM8YeGUwAround 10:30, he says Sting wouldn't even shake hands with the young guys in the locker room. Around 13:00, he gets asked about Sting specifically, shakes his head. Then says: "the thing I respect about Sting is his belief in God and he's a great family man." And then he won't say anymore. The guys who get a reputation for politics are the ones who swing it around in the locker room - like the Kliq. Just because you don't wave it in people's faces don't mean you're not playing it.

I do think a lot of people are overreacting to him beating Daniels, since Daniels dominated, and Sting won by luck. Of course, I felt the same way when people flipped out about Nash beating Sabin (overlooking the fact that Shelley helped Nash). But that's JMHO. I'm not the most religious person in the world, but for some reason, this quote really upset me.

And why do we assume that Sting has 100% control over what his wins and losses? Do you honestly think he wouldn't go out there and do the job for someone if he was asked to?

# Abyss (w/James Mitchell) defeated Sting and Christian Cage (w/Tomko) in a Triple Threat match to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (11:55)
* Abyss pinned Sting after a Black Hole Slam.
# Christian Cage defeated Abyss (c) (w/James Mitchell) and Sting in a Three Way Elimination match to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (13:06)
* Sting pinned Abyss after the Scorpion Death Drop (5:26) * Cage pinned Sting after a Frog Splash (13:06)
He took the final pinfall in two world title matches at back to back PPV's at the beginning of the year, just to clear up how the triple threat matches went.

It's every wrestler's right to politic in the back... I'm sure they're nearly ALL backstage politicians... it's just that some are better than others.
